Do-It-Yourself Framing

Who knew framing was so expensive? I didn’t. Every place I called was quoting me around $ 200. I ended going to DIY Framing, as a second stop as I wasn’t pleased with the first place I visited. I’ve driven by this place so many times and always thought that it’s for you to do-​it-​yourself. Well, it is DIY framing, meaning they can prep the materials for you to do the work which can save about $ 26 for the labour. But I was told that 95% of people do not go with the DIY approach and leave it up to the experts.
What I liked about this place was the great service I received from Jan — she was fantastic! She was extremely professional, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. She provided her perspective to help guide my selections because as I learned, there’s a lot of choices! She provided the best options out there for my style and budget. She even provided ways to reduce the cost of the framing. It was a great shopping experience and within a week, I was able to pick up the finished piece. And yes, I did end up spending a good amount on the framing but it was for a large art piece and it was well worth it. Truly great service goes a long way. And everyone else in the shop was great to deal with as well. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back here for the next piece I need framing.
