So, as silly people coming from the States, our group of five decided to go out to the restaurant on a Monday only to recall that the Canadians had this holiday called Victoria Day. Luckily, this place was open! The sushi portions are pretty good, with reasonably fresh fish. I got myself a nice rainbow roll and a negitoro roll, both of which were good. Nothing especially fancy on these rolls, but a good balance of rice and fish. A tamagozushi wasn’t perfect, but didn’t have any egregious problems. The cooked part of the menu had the standards like udon, soba, nabeyaki udon, and teriyaki. We got the karaage, which was a little dinky, but like everything else, decent. My compatriots told me the mixed drinks fall hard on the sweet side. As the loud obnoxious Americans, I was told that some of the other patrons gave us a little bit of the stinkeye. But being the polite Canadians that they were, we didn’t get any real flak. And we weren’t THAAAAT loud.
