Before going to Await Café, I have done some research. Too bad, all reviews were written around 2012 or before. So, I wondering are they still the same owner, or they have changed. I went there with my boy in the weekend. It is located at upstairs. We saw the café signboard, it is cute — a red cup with a love. Because it is located at upstair, meaning that it is more quiet, which is the place I love to be. Going into the café, it gave me a cosy ambience. We sit down and look at the menu. Await Café provides various pastries and beverage. We ordered hot chocolate, and their signature cake(I forgot the name of it). And also a sandwhich. The cake was delectable; however, I don’t like its hot chocolate. Honest speaking, I never taste a cup of hot chocolate like this before. Not sure this is because my own taste or it just didn’t taste like what it should be. I love the design, it has a bookshelf, and the coffee bean machines were displayed at the bar. All the crews were polite and treat us with a smile, except the lady boss. The only person/thing that spoiled my mood that day was her! We, as a customer come to your café, but you seems not welcome us? Overall, I wasn’t to satisfied with this café experience. Hope they can be better.

My first impression of Await was, why is it called Await? as soon as i was seated on the terrace of the café situated on the first floor of a shop lot i asked the question to the waiter, Await simply meant wait, because good coffee takes a while to brew and the wait is definitely worth it. I’m not much of a coffee drinker but my friend whom recommended that we come here is. According to her the coffee was super good(I trust her coffee verdict), I however helped myself to funky lemon tea which was surprisingly super refreshing. The interior of the shop is ok but with a few changes here and there, it could be better(sorry, the architect in me can’t hold it in any longer.) If I were to rate it, I would say a 3 out of 5 stars.
