I was on an assignment at Ampang one afternoon and decided to grab a quick lunch with my colleague before I start my mission on interviewing random people on the street. I remembered there is a Sri Steven’s Corner nearby and decided to head there. I thought I wouldn’t need to use my GPS to find the location, so I went around the place a few times before succumbing to technology. Finally, I found the place. Hungers! My colleague and I got a table, I went to take a look at the nasi kandar and decided to have it. I took a piece of chicken, a veg and salted egg with rice and curry. That went well but when it came to my drink, the waiter took their time to serve me. A little frustrated but nonetheless the food was good.

I have bittersweet memories with Steven’s Corner. If you and your group of friends or love ones wish to have a late night supper, or even have a simple breakfast, just head to Steven’s Corner! In here, you will be able to find delicious typical Indian foods such as roti john, roti canai, cheese naan and the list goes on. First and foremost, I would like to give two thumbs up for CHEESENAAN! The cheese naan in here is the BOMB! If I can have this every day, I would(but due to the fact that it’s cheese and fattening so I can’t have it everyday). I assume that they put Parmesan cheese into their cheese naan as you’ll be able to taste the cheese bursting in your mouth! Trust me, it will fill your tummy in no time. So, don’t bother ordering other foods if you wish to just order the cheese naan. Their teh tarik is good as well(but a bit too sweet for my liking, so do ask for less sugar). Other than the food and drink, I wish to commend on the environment, as it’s very clean. Service can be pretty slow as there are many people in Steven’s especially at nights(or during football). It’s nice to be able to gather with your friends here to watch the English Premier League or badminton championships. As for the parking spaces, it is quite limited so be prepared to park far away from Steven’s. Other than that, the pricing of the foods and drinks here is a little bit too steep. So, if you wish to save on foods, stay away from here! If you would like to have good and awesome-ly delicious foods, here it is!

For Indian nasi Kandar, Steven’s corner is the most affordable place that whips up delicious dishes to satisfy growling stomachs, especially in the afternoons. I highly recommend the deep fried cauliflower and bitter gourds to go with your rice. They are generous when giving out complimentary papadams and when ladling curry or dhal. If you’ve missed the lunchtime session for Nasi Kandar, you can always order their naan, rotis or chappatis. I particularly like their cheese Naan. The best in the Klang Valley because of the way they stuff it chock full of cheese. Another great dish here is their Indo mee, which I usually order with Mutton curry. Service is quite fast and I’m always impressed with how the waiters never mix up our orders despite not writing anything down.
