Jia Xiang (家香) restaurant is your typical Chinese mixed rice stall just recently opened a month ago in the friendly neighborhood of PJ. It’s nearby Digital Mall.
What’s special about this stall is that it boasts about 80 different types of dishes! My boyfriend actually didn’t believe it at first and made a quick count of the number of dishes there, and true enough, 80!
The strength of this shop lies in the variety of dishes they serve (obviously) and they also provide free Chinese tea and soup.
During lunch time, the place gets super crowded and finding a place to sit is a challenge. The seating area is also quite narrow to accommodate the crowd of customers everyday.
Price wise, this place is very very affordable. I chose a chicken fillet, lap cheong (Chinese sausages) and green vegetables and it costs me Rm5. Taste wise, it’s quite good too.
All in all, this place is a great lunch time place for young people on a budget (ahem, like me).
