We were 8 people and looking for a quality deep sea fishing experience that was reasonably priced. Some of my friends were tempted by the cheap($ 300-$ 600) offers from the guys at the marina(known locally as «coyotes»). But I didn’t feel comfortable with that kind of operation — nobody was able to tell me what boat we would be taking, let alone who our captain would be. So two days before we planned to go I spoke with a local about it, did some research, and was put in touch with Marco from Pisces, who was able to put a trip together for us at the last minute. The booking process was seamless and we were able to review all details about the boat and crew. Most of us were new to deep sea fishing, but everyone recognized the professionalism and excellence of the Pisces team. The dock-master(I forget his name) made sure we were processed quickly — he was extremely efficient, and we were able to head out at a reasonable time only because of him. We didn’t get to pick out our lunches(because we missed the deadline to make selections), but we had a good variety of lunch and drinks selected by the Pisces team. Everything was waiting for us in the boat fridge. We were assigned a great 35 foot boat known as the Listo. Captain Julio and his crew(Abraham among them) were incredible. It was obvious that they were well respected by all the other captains in the area — we noticed other boats trailing us, following Captain Julio’s lead. More important, they caught us some great fish on what we understand was a very bad day for fishing(12/27/2015). Within an hour we caught a good sized dorado. We had little experience with reeling in big fish, but Captain Julio and Abraham helped us along while at the same time throwing us in the action. Once we hit deep sea, some of us got sea sick, but the boat was comfortable enough for many to sleep it off. Within 3 hours the excitement kicked off again with a huge marlin(I think striped) that the crew helped us reel in. Abraham and the other mate made sure we all got pictures with this awesome fish. Again, we all appreciated those extra efforts to make sure everyone had a good experience. We didn’t catch any other fish, but we could tell Captain Julio was doing a great job tracking potential leads. And we were able to follow what seemed like dozens of dolphins and sea turtles along the way. More importantly, no other boats that we saw caught anything, so we felt extremely lucky to score two great catches. Others from our resort who took the cheaper outings from the coyotes came back empty — and in some cases very sick from being in the rough seas in a smaller boat. While they may have paid less, they did not get good value.

A big Thank you to pisces sportfishing. Captain Orlando and first mate Frank, outstanding host and very good fishermen. We hoping to get a sports fishing experience for our son. We explain to him before the trip that we could fish all day with no results. We arrive at the boat and disembark about 6:30AM awesome sunrise and great views of the Arch on our way to troll for fish. Fishing was slow for most of the day but, the first mate kept changing bait and the Captain Aggressively trolling. About two hours left in our fishing trip things started to heat up. We hooked a blue marlin WoW

What a fabulous time we had aboard The Contessa– the 85 foot yacht we chartered through Pisces Sportsfishing. Our party of 8 was treated like royalty as we sailed this beautiful yacht up the Sea of Cortez for 7 days. The Captain and staff of 2 met our every need– the chef made incredibly delicious meals and appetizers that included tons of fresh tuna and shellfish, salads and fruits(so delicious we each gained 5 pounds!). The Contessa was plenty large enough so that we could come together as a group for meals and conversation or escape into our private spots on the yacht when we felt like being quiet. At every spot we anchored, the staff were immediately responsive in getting the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and snorkel gear ready for us to explore the pristine waters and private beaches. They knew the best places to snorkel, explore and fish. Before we knew it, they had shade set up on the beach and were serving us sushi and champagne for lunch. And without trying too hard, we were able to catch 2 striped Marlin and 1 Sailfish(all 3 released), 2 dorado and many skipjack. This was truly a trip of a lifetime and loved by everyone aboard. Thank you Pisces– we will be back!

Little Junior and Fernando were incredible on La Brisa. We met at the Marina just before 7am, had a hot cup of coffee and promptly left the dock. Pisces fully stocked our boat with burritos, corona, tecate, snacks and fresh bait. We saw many whales, had a sea lion jump onto our boat, caught beautiful fish and enjoyed blue skies all day long. These guys are pros– some of the best fishermen I’ve seen in my life. I took home a striped marlin– 185 pounds, 11 feet long.
