Oh please, for the love of God, stick to eating Mexican food in Cabo. After 5 days of eating Mexican and Italian food, I thought we would give this place a try. There were so many red flags but we endured through our meal and then went to a second restaurant to finish off our night. First, the waiter didn’t know how to explain any of the dishes, but it’s possible because his English wasn’t too good. So we looked up a few terms in Spanish(like«no cream cheese) and told him that in Spanish, and our rolls still had cream cheese. Soo… idk. However, he was super nice, but just seemed… incompetent. Fish didn’t seem too fresh and just in general the combination of ingredients in the rolls didn’t seem to go well together. I am not one to waste food at all, but I just could not finish the 3 rolls we ordered. It’s such a pity because all of them looked extremely lovely but the taste just sorely under delivered. We even ordered a nigiri plate to try out the fish on its own and the salmon was dry, the ebi was flavorless and the tobiko seemed like sand in our mouths. I was really disappointed. Overall, I learned a valuable lesson that day, and that is to stick with what Cabo is known for(and it’s not sushi.) I don’t blame the restaurant but I happen to have worked in a Japanese restaurant and have tried all sorts of sushi before, so trying Sushimaniaz(where none of the chefs were Asian or remotely seemed to understand what sushi is) was a complete let-down.
