Señor Frog’s

My friend got jumped in the bathroom and robbed tonight. Concussion, cuts and broken jaw. Beware of this bar is run by the Cartel… Dont let your friends leave alone anywhere because Americans are targets here to be robbed and drugged. Negative stars be VERY AFRAID OF THIS PLACE… security is non existent.

My girlfriend and I came here on our last day in Cancun, due to us having a coupon for a free entrée. Before walking in, we were given a coupon for a free order of nachos, but didn’t plan to use it. The hostess asked if we had any coupons when seating us and we showed her the coupon for the free entrée on my phone. We were seated at a high top table in a high energy, dimly lit, dirty bar and restaurant, complete with a crass clown making adult balloon hats. We started with the Guac which was pretty good, even for Mexico, but then things went down hill. We had what must’ve been three different waiters. We ended up showing the coupon to the Manager, Casper. Casper would not take our coupon for the free entrée. When we asked if we could just use the nacho coupon to cover the chips and Guac instead and he would not accept that either. My girlfriend asked him if he could make an exception and Casper got rather nasty with her. He came back shortly after and apologized and said he would take percentage off of our bill to apologize. We felt a little better and finished what was a subpar beef burrito and a smattering of appetizers including jalapeño poppers in the «Mexican sampler». Overall the price of the meal was not worth the price, but we did catch a decent buzz off of the margarita yards. When the final bill came, we got two bills, one for the chips and Guac and one for our drinks and entrees. No discount was applied to either. When we asked our waiter, he said that Casper had left and that he needed his manager’s approval. We left Cancun on a low note and will probably never visit another Sr. Frogs.

I showed up and there was some guy that kept on yelling «I am Chris Bryan» over and over. Management just kept on letting him do that the whole night. Very obnoxious.

I’ve been to other señor frogs in the U. S and gotta say this place was a disappointment. We arrived at 8:15pm on a Wednesday. We were told it was a 30 minute wait, which was fine. After about an hour, after we kept going back to the hostess to inquire about our table we finally sat down. One server introduced him self and said he would be right back. A few moments later another server introduces himself and says he will be our new waiter. He than gave us a moment to look over the menu, when another guy comes and tells us he was the new waiter AGAIN. The service was poor, we didn’t eat till 1130 pm. I would never come back to this place.

No cover here. There’s a DJ and a large projector screen with music video cuts.

So, it’s super touristy, but you already knew that; it’s cancun, it’s in the center of the strip sort of in its own, sitting right over the super dirty bay water. It looks as though there’s a slide out there but you realllllly wouldn’t wish that filth on your enemies… Maybe.
The foods fine, the vibes fun, the service… When I was there… In the middle of the day back in 2008, I got to dance with my super hot Spanish waitress… Win for me for sure.

The girls who work the reception desk/​hostesses are just nasty. So unnecessary. The waiters on the other hand are so friendly and kind. Place is great for family/​kids from 4−8pm. Our tot loved it. The food was fine, fabulous entertainment. We were happy, minus the nasty hostess who needs a personality check.

We stopped in here for some drinks while we were visiting the party area of the hotel zone. We kind of hung out near the bar and took it all in. There were a lot of tables when we got there, but we weren’t allowed to sit at them since we weren’t having diner. It was 9:00pm, but I guess you had to order diner to get a seat. It didn’t make a lot of sense since we ordered probably a $ 100 in drinks between the four of us by the time we were gone. I guess a lot of people just get one or two and watch the show. The band they had was pretty good and was doing all American cover songs which was entertaining.
I would recommend it for a place to get some drinks and enjoy a little live band action. We went on down to check out the rest of the bar area after our stop at Señor Frogs.

So many places I would have rather eaten. Food is blah. Service is ok but overpriced. Basically a tourist trap.

This place smells like a dirty rag. I don’t know how management can be okay with the over powering smell.
Not to mention the workers that come by and make you a hat balloon whether or not you wanted it and then you’re obligated to tip em.
Only reason we came here is because we got two free dinners and they want to know what coupon you have because that will determine which menu they give you. Bleh would not come again. There are plenty of great restaurants that are more decently priced.

I’m giving this 3 stars. Here’s why.
It’s a touristy place, yes. Food is okay. Drinks are pricey. Dinner for four with a few beers and 2 specialty drinks = $ 100. Looks like a fun place to party at night.
They put up signs, make hats, balloons, jokes, name tags to customers. That can be entertaining. Otherwise, to me it is a typical tourist spot that you could skip if your not looking for that.
I would recommend checking this place out at night for drinks and entertainment. I’m sure it’s a good time.

I won two free vouchers for here from the Riu Cancun so we went for lunch. The service here was top quality, very friendly guys who make sure your enjoying your time. The drinks are free refills and also got to keep my Señor Frogs yard cup. The food was nice, I’ve had better burritos in my life but was very enjoyable. The decorations are very cheesy, for example one banner said ‘sorry mother, you know I love you but I denied your friend request on facebook’. Actually made me laugh to be honest! Most of the props in there were cool and we taken pictures of them. The guy that served us put us on the guest list for the foam party later that night which was really nice of him also.

When you come to Cancun you know one of the places to check out is Frogs this is one of those places where u know u can have some fun.
Last time I was here was no exception did have a really good time but with my most reason visit I came to find out that the location was moved ?? Cab guy was like they moved it to the strip since everything else was right there it was just easier … I get it but liked the original location better that one was by the water.
This location is smaller, plenty of tables to sit they do have a stage & a bar area some of the crazy decorations that were part of the other location are here the most obvious ones are all the sayings on the walls.
The music is loud, the drinks are not bad the staff tends to entertain you while everyone dances around like crazy.
One great thing about this is that it’s one of the few places that charges no cover to get in … in an area where they are constantly hassling u to get tickets its nice not to have to pay to get in.
This frogs is ok we did enjoy ourselves but the previous location was a lot more fun.

I was looking forward to going here since it’s one of those touristy places in Cancun that you have to check out. Great place if you come here kind of drunk already; that was probably my first mistake because unfortunately I was not. Every 15 minutes, this siren goes off and the staff does something ridiculous– at one point, they were running around pouring tequila in everyone’s mouth and making balloon hats. I’m sure it gets much crazier as the night goes on but I didn’t stick around to see.
My experience would have probably been better if i was about 5 years younger (I say this because my younger sister who is 5 years younger than me and is my clone loved it).

We stopped in on our way back to the cruise ship for a snack and a drink. It’s a fun stop and the prices are reasonable. We’ve been to other locations in other cities on cruise ship stops. The food and drinks are fairly consistent. The service is usually very good and it was here. We enjoyed a drink and our snacks at an outside table. This is a must to view what’s going on. And we were luckily serenaded by a wonderful Mariachi Band. Don’t miss this stop if you tour the town from your cruise ship

OMG, this place is the bomb!
We came, we drank, we danced! We were a big group of about 20. The crowd was great and we couldn’t have had a better time.
I love Señor Frog’s and Cancun :)

A straight-​up tourist trap if ever there was one. Nonetheless, it’s a fun atmosphere and everybody has a good time and the drinks keep on coming. Silly? Yes.
A must if you are in Cancun? Yes. The food is alright, but it’s the drinking and dancing that keep people coming back.

Otro de mis antros favoritos, si de verdad estas dispuesto a pasarla bien Señor Frogs es la opción!!! Te recomiendo ir a la fiesta de espuma en temporada de Spring breakers la diversión se pone al tope bandas de rock, las benditas yardas son lo que lo carcterizan ademas de los bancos con cara de traje de baño y ese toque caribeño a mi me encanta ir con mi grupo de amigos y estamos planeando la próxima salida

Aquí se celebró una fiesta que nos hicieron en la empresa en la que trabajaba, por haber llegado y superado las ventas del mes. Nos atendieron súper bien, nos dieron de cenar varias botanas, como sincronizadas, nachos, y la verdad no recuerdo que mas, porque traían y traían charolas de botana, que igual como llegaban, se iban. Y no es lo único que rondaba y rondaba, las bebidas, Oh por Dios, las bebidas!!! Circulaban y circulaban y circulaban… Bueno, ya entendieron la idea, De verdad, no recuerdo cuantas bebidas tomé, pero tan segura estoy de que nos sirvieron sin parar, que ni me acuerdo ni de que, ni de cuanto tome.
El ambiente se puso muy bien, todos bailamos hasta hartarnos, bueno, hasta mis amigas terminaron haciendo el oso y yo bajádole la falda a una de ellas.
Pero de que fue una noche inolvidable, lo fue, bueno, menos para mi amiga por como andaba, que no se acordaba de nada al día siguiente (ups).

Era un fin de semana como muchos en los que saliamos en grupo con mi hermano, me acuerdo que no tenia 18 años cumplidos pero para mi buena suerte siempre parecia de mas edad, asi que nunca tuve problema al entrar para que me pidieran credencial de elector, era fascinante para mi entrar y bailar y cantar como loca hasta tarde en Señor Frog’s, me acuerdo que era el favorito de todos y el himno del Frog’s (como yo lo bautice) era escuchar. Everybody jump jump jump… que tiempos aquellos, ahora he ido mas que nada a cenar ya no me quedo hasta tarde como antes, pero siguen manteniendo el ambiente que por años los han hecho favoritos entre los locales, cuentan tambien con tienda de ropa por si gustas algun souvenir.

If you have any memories of Señor Frog’s as a blasting party on the lagoon, with a terrace and even a water slide to go on when you’re drunk enough, forget about that. Señor Frog’s recently changed its location from what used to be a more exclusive and fun spot to being overshadowed by the other blasting clubs of the area.
The place is what you’d expect if you’ve travelled long enough around here, overpriced (though that applies only for the tourists, us locals get certain discounts). But there is something they can’t beat these guys at, they know how to throw a booze-​filled fiesta. The employees here will make sure that at no point do you ever think of sitting down and dare to be bored, they blast a shot right into your mouth to get the party going. Just keep an eye out for unexpected charges, such as an overpriced shot after getting a «free» massage and dose of oxygen.

Fiesta, fiesta y fiesta en el Sr. Frogs. Es de los lugares con mejor ambiente que conozco.
Antes iba mucho porque cualquier ocasión es buena para venir.
La comida es variada, es lo personal te recomiendo pedir una hamburguesa, básico lo sé, pero están muy buenas. Y una yarda, esto es indispensable.
El staff es súper animado, todo es bien dinámico, muy seguido tienen fiestas temáticas buenísimas.
Antes estaba en la laguna y había un tobogán por donde te podías aventar y caer a la laguna, ahora lo cambiaron y esta a la de plaza Forum.
Te sugiero estar al pendiente de las promociones y temas del día por que están en constantes cambios, vallas cuando vallas te vas a pasar un rato de lo más divertido.

El Señor Forgs es de los restaurantes mas divertidos que conozco.
Este restaurante es mas como una combinación de un antro y un restaurante. Es un excelente lugar para ir con la familia o amigos a comer, bailar y divertirte.
La comida esta decente, aun que no me vuelvo loco por la comida de este restaurante. Lo que vale la pena de este lugar mas que nada es su ambiente ya que de verdad es muy divertido y todo el personal es muy divertido y hacen que pases una noche muy padre.
No es un lugar al que iría cada semana, pero si creo que es una muy buena opción para romper la rutina y hacer algo diferente y divertido de vez en cuando.

Wherever there’s a tourist trap, there’s probably a Señor Frog’s.
Because let’s face it, you’re not stopping in to eat a 5-​star meal – you come here for the yard-‘o’-booze and conga line. Yes, it’s tacky, and yes, I loved it.
It’s been a while, but according to my pictures, I ordered a tortilla soup (w/​fresh avocado, sour cream, olives & crumbled cheese) that I recall being very tasty. Evidently I also had the fish tacos, and they were delicious as well. My travel companion got a grilled chicken taco bowl and, despite being pricey, was also good.
My frozen margarita came in a nifty (plastic) palm tree tube with long non-​disposable straw and green palm «topper». I brought that sh*t back home to the States with me, it was way too cool to leave behind! Might’ve ran me $ 13.
The bathroom upstairs was in pretty bad shape, and I’m not the kind of person that normally cares one way or the other. I did what I had to and left without touching anything, for fear of contracting hepatitis A, B and/​or C. If I was a girl, I would’ve run out of there screaming.
Amusing entertainers that work off of tips and do their best to guilt you into paying outrageous prices for a photo, balloon animal, hug, whatever. The clown pestered us and made me wear a funny penis hat (thanks lady). They’ll offer to take your picture and then try to sell you it for buku bucks – hard pass. Homeless people loitering outside seemed to be a problem, as management came by several times to shoo them away.
Pretty typical experience for a Señor Frog’s, which is to say, both enjoyable and expensive.

You come here for the atmostphere and not the food/​drinks themselves, which are way overpriced! 2 yard sized cocktails and 1 yard sized beer ran us about $ 55 before tip. We were here early like around 8:30 or 9 pm so it wasn’t too crazy yet, but the DJ and staff definitely try to stir up the crowd and get the party going. Not too long after we sat down there was a conga line going where we paraded around the restaurant and into the bar area which included us going behind the counter, getting free gulps of watered down rum drinks they pour into your mouth as you make you way around.
The staff goes around during the night and tries to stir up crowds, and the live performers were no exception. Before we left, the staff went around to several tables and selected people at random at each to chug from the bottle of watered down liquor that they poured down your throat until it spilled out everywhere and all over you. I was glad they picked me cuz free drinks! Even though it was embarrassing
If you come 10 pm or later I understand there’s a $ 15 cover or $ 55 if you wish to do the open bar. I was happy they had the NBA playoffs playing on the TVs here. It’s super loud in here and you can barely here the servers or anyone else in your group without shouting
