Watch out when renting rooms with Kitchen or perhaps any room, they made us pay for some damage we didn’t do, was outdated and 10 year old kitchen. I sugguest you take pictures like renting a car before and after picture. They would not let us check out when I refuse to pay for the damages that we didn’t do. Manager was rude and very bad customer service. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here the last day coming back from our Mexico roadtrip and for us it was the first stay in such a big hotel in Mexico, the others before were way smaller. I have to admit this hotel has everything, the room was amazing with a great view on the pool and the ocean, partly at least. The pool area is nice and you can easily find your favorite spot. You find a small shop for food and drinks, or you can buy the missing souvenirs before going home. The pool bar is nice for enjoying a cocktail or beer… and also the restaurant next to the pool is good. The pizza is offbeat but has a great taste and man, you have to try the mixed ceviche. Too bad that we couldn’t stay longer end explore more from the hotel. Only negative point, if you want to call it like that, is that the shops are more or less 5 km away but you can take either a taxi or public transportation to get there or simply walk. A great plus is, even if we had to check-out at 11am and our flight back was at 9pm, we were allowed to stay in the hotel at the pool and they also offered us the possibility to take a shower before leaving. I am 100% sure a lot people who flew with us were very grateful for that :)

One of the premier time share resorts in the area. The Royal Caribbean is a part of the Royal resorts including the Islander and the Sands. They also have a bunch of restaurants that are also part of the larger organization as well. The Caribbean is a large U-shaped building complex surrounding a beautifully constructed pool and a staircase leading to a pristine part of the ocean. The beach access is handicap accessible up until the sand. The sand is white as snow going far into the water. The water is crystal clear except for the small shallower section where the waves kick up the sand turning the water into a milky froth. As far as the eye can see, the water spreads out into the horizon making a beautiful picturesque photo that most will think is from a photoshopped calendar. They have a gym(which I did not use thank you very much) a great grocery store with pretty much most things that you need including a fully stocked pharmacy with antibiotics(that I think you can purchase over the counter…). Throughout our stay they threw parties every day for the guests including a welcoming ceremony, a taco party and then a wine and cheese soirée. You charge everything to your«room key» and at the end of the trip you pay for your entire bill. That way there is no need to split bills or decide who is paying for what. If you want to do scuba or other adventure activities or day trips, go to the Thomas More desk and book your extravaganzas early otherwise you’ll miss out on the trips. At night, they have baby turtle releases at around 8:30−9pm between the Caribbean and the Islander. Of the restaurants between the two hotels, I have preferred the Islander’s Pacos Tacos(that’ll be a separate review). Since I’m a guest of a larger group, I have no idea how the time share works so I’ll defer to my other fellow reviewers to fill you in. This is a great place and you’re sure to enjoy your time!

Other items you should consider bringing to save you money are: dish washing liquid & sponge, paper towel, sugar, coffee, and powdered creamers because none of these items are not included in the room. BTW there is a little grocery store outside of the hotel called oxxo it’s much cheaper than the hotel grocery store, and right next to it is a drug store, you can get lots of medication here without a prescription.

The front desk sucks. They only have 2 people working the front desk you can wait up to 1 hour waiting to check in or any other questions one might have. Some guess are forced to move rooms due to time share members. There is no night life, after 6pm the pool bar closes and the entire pool area becomes a dead zone. No one around. There is no pool side service, one must go to the bar for drinks. If you’re going to stay at a Royals resort, stay at the Sands it a new and seem a lot more livelier.

I loved my stay at the royal carribean! Wonderful food and many activities on the beach like volleyball! The waves are great for boggie boarding and body surfing. Great service and an all around beautiful resort and water front!

We are currently wrapping up a one week stay and we had a great time. The rooms are immaculate and kept that way thanks to daily maid service. The on sight restaurant serves a mean bacon cheeseburger among other things(Surf & Turf was a great treat). Nightly specials include a Taco night which was excellent and Wednesday was Pasta night, which was outstanding. Huge variety at the buffet and even more choices including 4 pastas at the grill. Vegetarian and Meat Lasagne, Spaghetti & awesome meatballs. Tradewinds Restaurant has been great. The pool area is kept squeaky clean along with all public areas. Service has been very good as well. Two bedroom villa 1 king bed, 2 regular beds in the studio side, comes equipped with a full kitchen with full size fridge and freezer. Coffee maker and microwave round out the fully appliances kitchen. The one bedroom studio has coffee maker, microwave and dorm sized fridge. Full baths in both sides. Extremely roomy and comfortable place to stay. Almost forgot about the huge balcony with table/chairs and loungers. Hard to go wrong with this place. They operate like a cruise ship with your room key/card being used to sign for expenses at the restaurant, bar, grocery store, etc. it’s easy to rack up a bill when your not paying attention to how heavy the Peso’s are flowing. So be mindful
