So I think the address is wrong, I copy pasted into google maps and never found it. Of course when I searched the restaurant name in google it has a different address: Av. Adolfo Lopez Mateos 626, Centro, Zona Centro, 22800 Ensenada, B.C., Mexico So I never did make it, it looked like fun… =(

We stopped in here for lunch during a stop off of a cruise ship and at the recommendation of our tour guide. We were greeted at the door by the waiter and offered to sit outside or inside. They have a small covered area outside(like an atrium) but it can get very hot in there so we sat inside. We decided to have the Butterfly Shrimp and Cadillac Margaritas. Unbelievable! If you don’t know, Ensenada, is a fishing port along the Baja Peninsula. Not very much to look at but fresh seafood, birthplace of the Margarita and 45 minutes from their Wine Valley. Anyway, the shrimp were fresh and HUGE! Served on a pineapple slice with rice and bread! The margaritas were perfect! Right amount of Tequila and Cointreau! And to make it even better, the meal was $ 10 and margaritas $ 6! Trying getting all that for $ 16 at a resort or tourist trap restaurant! The restaurant has dollar bills stapled on the walls and looks a little worn out but the staff is friendly and attentive. They also let in all the traveling musical troubadours, so you have to tell them ‘yes’ or ‘no’ if you want them to play but they’re not pushy. If you’re ever in Ensenada you’ll have plenty of food choices but don’t hesitate to give this place a try.

Great place! Their margarita(the classic one, I think they call it original margarita) is absolutely awesome. HUGE glass costs less than $ 6. I also tried frozen mango margarita. It was nice, but I would recommend sticking to the classic one. Of-course that you get nachos and salsa for free… :) The bartender was really nice and it was easy to communicate with him in English. Besides that, the place looks really nice(with dollars everywhere haha) and the ambiance is cool.

Great food, great service. Huge mugs of beer went well with our huge(double normal size) burritos. My kids loved the décor and the many flavors of Fanta. Very good guacamole too and clean bathrooms.

On the Main tourist street in Ensenada, this place attracts you with its 80’s music and outdoor seating area. The wait staff is every accommodating and the drinks are delicious and a good prelude to the food. The camarones a la diabla are unlike any I’ve had in the States, with a white sauce instead of red. However, the kick is at least double the spice of US restaurants and the shrimp are super fresh. My dish cost about US$ 9.00 which is half of what you’d pay stateside. It was located within the shopping and tourist area so it served as a nice break for us and allowed for some respite from the continuous haggling and onslaught of tourists hurrying to buy as much as they could while their cruise ship is docked nearby. The tacos were also on the larger side, nearly double the size of King Taco tacos for less $$. And the carne asada quesadilla was so big, we had to bring some home(it made a great late afternoon snack at the beach). Unfortunately, they don’t have a dance floor at night, but the food, good music and drinks are sure to bring you back, no matter what time of day.

Every time I am in town I come to this place. Margaritas are delicious as well as the staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Has a very cool Baja 500 theme with various memorabilia from different racers who have competed. Prices are fair even though it is a tourist spot on the main drag. It is perfect if you are looking for a laid back place to relax unlike Papas & Beer down the street.

I don’t normally drink margaritas, but I love them here at El Corralito! This place had good reviews on Unilocal so we decided to eat here for lunch. Hard to figure out what place is good when they have so many people shouting at you with their deals. Glad we came here though. Service was really great and loved the complimentary chips and salsa. The food was top notch too. Delicious tacos!

We love this place! By we, I mean my husband and I. We come here every time we are in Ensenada! We usually arrive in Ensenada by cruise ship and choose to walk from the port to the town. We usually stop off at Starbucks first to grab a coffee, use their free wifi to check emails etc and then make our way to the local shops to pick up whatever it is we need. Then we make our way to El corralito for food! We always order the same thing! Queso w/chorizo(it comes with tortillas), I get two fish tacos(so delicious) and the husband gets a carnitas burrito wet with red sauce! We usually get two rounds of 1800 blended Cadillac margaritas($ 6) each and our bill is around $ 40 usd! The food is fresh, delicious and cheap! The margaritas are perfectly priced and very good! Service is friendly and the décor is a must see! Be prepared to have random sellers come in and ask to take your picture, sell you flowers, or sing a song to you! It doesn’t bother me at all, just say no thank you and no one hassles you! We love this place as its our go to stop when in Ensenada! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant is a must see tourist attraction when you come to Ensenada. Tourist trap you fear? No way! It’s not just Americans who come here for food but even Mexicans who are vacationing in Ensenada will come here. You know that if Mexicans recommend this restaurant then the food is top notch. The food is really good and it is a very decent price. I ordered jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp. I think there was about six huge shrimp on the plate which came with rice and beans and a side salad and I think it was all $ 12? The margaritas are huge and also delicious. The restaurant décor is different, people tag it and leave dollars all over the place so it is wallpapered in dollar bills and people’s messages. They offer free Wi-Fi which is a must when I’m in Mexico because I don’t have a cell phone plan that allows me to make calls or use data in Mexico without exorbitant fees. There’s a restaurant portion and there’s also a small area outside that you can sit at. I sat in the outside part which has great people watching as you can see everybody who is driving around the main road. The service was a bit slow but that might just be Mexico for you since they don’t bring you anything unless you ask for it and it is considered rude to bring you the check if you’re sitting there unless you ask for it. The bathroom here is also the cleanest bathroom that I went into while I was in Ensenada. Just don’t throw away toilet paper inside the toilet bowl, there’s something weird with Mexico’s plumbing where you have to throw all toilet paper inside the trashcan. The bathroom is clean and they have automatic faucets!

Best Margarita of my life! Lime seeds and all. It tasted so fresh. On the rocks, with salt and fresh lime juices for only $ 6 American dollars. My drink was so big that I needed a to go cup. I slurped that baby down!

El Corralito is a great place to have food when you’re coming into Ensenada late at night. Located close to Avenida Miramar, this restaurant is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The inside of the bar reminds me of Sharkeez bar in Hermosa Beach before it burned down. The walls are plastered with many miscellaneous decorations, most prominently US dollar bills pasted on the walls and written on by tourists. The seating is ample inside, and there is a patio section as well. The restrooms are ok. This restaurant has a limited bar, and plenty of TVs to watch sports. The food here is pretty good, and comes in good portions. I usually get the chicken and beef fajitas. Let me tell you, the fajita plates are huge! They come with a side of tortillas, and you get chips and salsa as an appetizer. I pair my meal with a coca-cola, or a bottle of water. The surrounding area is pretty cool during the day. There are numerous other restaurants and many stores to buy mementos. The bay is walking distance, and it makes for a relaxing getaway. At night, it is a whole different story. Be careful of the characters that roam nearby Avenida Miramar. On the weekends, the police are in full force to keep the tourist area safe. On the weekdays, the police force is not as numerous. Just use common sense, and you’ll be fine. So there you have it. Whether you’re coming or going in the morning, afternoon, or evening, come and enjoy El Corralito. I will post photos the next time I go to Ensenada. Stay tuned. Cheers!

Great tacos, awesome margaritas, wonderful service! The only drawback is all the mariachis and vendors come right on in. Other than that, this was one of my favorite places we visited in Ensenada. The prices were a highlight, too! Definitely recommend!

Seriously awesome service. They went out of their way to make out experience unique. Waiter brought candles and roses to our table because it was just my girl and I. We were there to get crunk… But Tony, our waiter, made it unique. We were the only ones with candles and roses. You wanna feel like boss? Go here. Food was delicious, drinks were good, and service was quick. Plus. Free WiFi.

Great breakfasts… menu in spanish though, so you’ll have too either understand or the servers are super friendly so you can ask. Bottled sodas. Outside patio with a cool breeze and a fun view of the street and local vendors. Definitely would recommend for the food.
