The food is very basic just like all the other restaurants in the resort and the quality isn’t there either. Gotta go out in town to eat now

This restaurant is one of Riu’s five dining options. Make sure to make a reservation, as they are reservation only and there are only two seatings: at 6:30 pm and at 8:45 pm. They close the doors and even if there are free tables before closing, they don’t admit without the reservation. Upon entry, everyone is presented with a glass of pink champagne and then you’re seated at the table. They then take your order and bring out the bread and the appetizers. There are three appetizer options(foie gras, turnover with cheese, and salmon) and you get to try them all. Then you pick your starter, entrée, and dessert. Now, let’s get down to why this place gets 2 stars: one for champagne, one for the starters. The crispy foie gras wasn’t crispy, but rather soggy, and the salmon didn’t taste that great. The salad was good, and my mom really liked here mushroom ragout(she said that was the best dish during that dinner). My friend’s ceviche had mashed potatoes in the bottom, and the shrimp and the scallops were too sour to her taste(as was the mash). The lobster risotto wasn’t made with risotto rice and my friend and my mom didn’t like it. The sea bass that my dad and I got was prepared well, but I wish they gave us more of the miso sauce. That would have saved the dish and masked the fact that the dish tasted as if it was made from frozen fish… The asparagus was good though. The desserts are not just not worth the calories, they’re simply unedible. And I eat all desserts… Just not the ones that taste like cool whip mixed with gelatin. They really need a good pastry chef! Because box brownies are better than what they serve.
