Loved everything! Great variety, fun colors, natural flavors, friendly and fast staff, reasonable prices, two convenient locations!

I love the ice cream and Popsicles at this place. It is all fresh and handmade and all of the ladies that work there are very sweet. They have two locations that are both very clean and modern looking. They have a plethora of options and will chocolate dip Popsicles as well. The coffee ice cream is what I had and it was great. They also have chocolate dipped bananas which are great as well. I would definitely recommend this place. Best ice cream spot in sayulita.

If you like popsicles, this is the place for you. If you don’t, give them a try anyway as Wakika may convert you. Probably upwards of 20 types at any given point. My personal favorite was the mango tamarind, a perfect sweet/spicy blend that I had at lunch and dinner most days. Fantastically delicious.

This place made my day, and vacation, particularly memorable. Nestled neatly in the middle of town, this place makes ice cold Aguas frescas, paletas(Popsicles), and their own ice cream — and these all come in a variety of familiar flavors and some that arent. To be honest, there were probably 20 – 30 flavors of Popsicles both juice and crème based, all with a variety of combinations. Some examples: watermelon parsley, guayabana, mint strawberry, mango chili, hibiscus tea, coconut, Nutela, strawberry with crème, pineapple, jackfruit, and other seasonal fruits and flavors. The ice cream itself(I tried the jackfruit) wasn’t as smooth as Gelato but definitely tasty, and amazing on a cone. For God’s sake, we went before and after dinner just to try more. And the place is consistently crowded. If you’re in Sayulita you’re in luck. Come here and cool off daily after a dip at the beach. It’s pretty damn good. I only wish Mitchells and Bi-Rite in SF or Fentons in Oakland would venture out and make these sort of flavors in Popsicles — I’d be there every day.

They serve good but ordinary Mexican ice cream, but are noteworthy for two additional nice things. First, they also have a beautifully chromatic array of paletas for those inclined in a popsicle direction. Second, if you do get ice cream, they make the waffle cones fresh with a waffle iron right behind the counter. Indeed, I threw out most of my ice cream to save room for the cone.

Wa Kika has two locations in town. Their success can easily be attributed to their quality product. I was particularly impressed by their maracuya(passion fruit) flavored sorbet. In fact, I went back a third time and got a double scoop of it. The homemade cones were good as well. Oneway or the other you can’t really argue with a refreshing ice cream cone on a sunny day at the beach.

I’m a popsicle fan. I had always heard that Mexico was this magical wonderland of popsicles(called paletas), with dedicated paletas shops that sell dozens of flavors. It’s true! This place is real. A bewildering variety of paletas! They also serve good ice-cream in fresh made waffle cones and aguas frescas.(Try the Yerba Buena!) When I’m in Sayulita a go here pretty much every day.
