Visit every year. Food is always great. Service is usually good. We just returned from having Christmas Dinner there. We made reservations weeks in advance through their website to ensure we had special Christmas dinner. We arrive and was very busy as expected on Christmas. They tell us we have no record of our reservation. I wish o has my phone to show the confirmation email. They found us a open table. The waiter took our order and never returned single time to check on us. Only to drop off check. I realize they were very busy, but unacceptable. Food was delicious.

I cant say enough about this place. Food was next level, service was beyond any expectations I could have for any quality restaurant. I will always come back. P. S. start off with a pizza.

Who would’ve thought that I would have the BEST Italian food I’ve ever eaten in Mexico!!! We ate here 3 nights out of our 8 day trip. There were 3 adults and 1 child so each night got 1 bottle of wine, 1 large bottled water, 2 appetizers, 1 pizza(for our son), and 3 entrees &1 dessert. Each dinner was about $ 100USD before tip! And the service was AMAZING also. Eduardo– the head server was so nice and always told us what was best to try so we did and he was always right. Bravo to the chefs there– they are very talented!

There are two, the one in Centro is much better than the one in Nuevo. Second best pizza in town(Frankies #1) pasta and everything else we had was very good. In Centro great waiters that have been there for years.

Friendly staff, delicious authentic Italian. We had the tortellini bolognese. They give you fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic

Two words. Excellent sauce. Shocked that it tasted as good(well almost) as my wife’s; guess that it helps that the head chef is from Italy. The tortellini cooked perfectly al dente and the gnocchi was quite good too. Had to negotiate the corkage fee of my wine which was based on the retail price.

Our group of four thought everything was terrific. We split a personal pizza for an appetizer and would highly recommend doing that as an appetizer or ordering one as main course. They have a fresh fish of the day which is different depending on what the local fishermen caught. To be honest, I can’t even remember the name of the fish, but it was a white mild fish in a sauce with tomato, capers and olives and it was delicious. Others in our party had fresh pasta that was just right. Some of the pasta is homemade, some of it is imported from Italy, but the sauces and all the pasta are delicious. The owners of this place have had a restaurant in Puerto Vallarta for many years, this one opened about five years ago and seems to be doing well. We will definitely be back here next time we come to visit.

5 of us came to Dolce Vita and 5 of us thought the food was excellent. I had crab ravioli in a tomato and shrimp sauce that was soo good, the pizza was great, the catch of the day Dorado excellent, penne in a tomato sauce great and chicken parmigiana very tender and good. We will definitely come back to this restaurant as the service was also very friendly and good!
