I had a boat in Cabo for years and have been coming here since before the bar burnt down (sort of).
Gene, the gringo owner, is almost always on site and is incredibly friendly, as is his staff
Good food, stiff drinks, great service, and cheap beer.
This is the place everyone ends up in if they spend more than a week or two in Cabo or if they come to Cabo often.
This THE place for good, cheap drinks and friendly service.

We saw this bar last year and knew we had to come back! Being a LEO in California I brought patches with me this year. I was lucky and met Gene, «El Jefe», the owner when we stopped in. He was awesome! He loved the patches I brought and immediately hung them up and then had me sign the wall. If you are LEO or FD you have to stop in Happy Endings! Oh, and the beers are $ 2 ALL DAY! When you stop in ask for Gene or Tony, the Mgr., they are great people!

This is my go-​to place in cabo any time i am on a cruise ship that stops in cabo. was just there again on ⁴⁄₂₅ and had another terrific afternoon. this was the 4rth or 5^th time i have been here, and they have all been great. the other visits, the bartender was axel, who is really, really good — (see the other reviews where he is mentioned, they are all true!) but this time axel was off, so moses (moises?) was our bartender. he was also fantastic. from reading the other reviews, it sounds like ALL the bartenders there are super. moses was very attentive and helpful, especially when pointing out the location of a cuban cigar shop that we had been told was closed. you cant beat the 2 and 2 for $ 5 anywhere in town and they also make killer margaritas! they also have a monster burrito for $ 7 that is big enough for two. have never been there in the evening, but i would imagine this place really is happening when the sun goes down. the retired L.A.P.D. officer who owns this place is absolutely living the dream!

Drank a large and very delicious Piña Colada ($ 5 US) served by Axel, a super sweet bartender. This place has a good vibe — one that’s hard to pick up from the street. But once you walk in, you are greeted by all sorts of things hanging from the ceiling (signed dollar bills, police and firefighter badges from all over, flags, t-​shirts, and even panties, which Axel informed me usually are from girls on spring break who have had a few too many tequila shots), a nice open air area, a lovely long stone bar, and tables in the back for beer pong and other such activities. Totally worth the stop!

Been here twice (so far, probably more!), love it! First time had the tacos – excellente! Cheap and delicious drinks also! Second time had the super nachos, very good (and we’re nacho conisseurs so we’ve had them everywhere!), great size for great price! Super fun environment, good music, great place!

How fun is this place! Had a great time hanging out with Axel and the crew, who made this one of the funnest stops in Cabo to watch a ball game. Great prices, tacos rock and dont forget the two beers/​two double shots of Tequila for $ 5.

Your bar (gene), Happy Ending Cantina Cabo was a refuge during the pouring rain. Our friends and I hung out all day. Your staff worked tirelessly to move the water out of the bar. We met your wife, talking to the patrons. Great food and drinks at great prices. The law Enforcement and firefighter theme made it extra special for me being Medically retired from CDCR. Most can’t understand. Its more than a job/​career its a family for life! Can’t wait to visit again!

Best bar in Cabo!!! During our stay, we went to Cabo wabo & gigglin Marlin a few times. They were fun, but their drinks were overpriced. Not to mention the atmosphere wasn’t all that.
A local had told us of this place to start off at before we would hit squid roe (really fun club) and we were glad we did. $ 1 tequila shots, $ 2.50 Coronas, & great music. You can’t beat that in Cabo! We definitely got our money’s worth & recommend this bar hands down!

Honestly can’t beat $ 1 tequila shots. Music is great and the service is fast and friendly. The bartenders speak perfect English, as I’m sure American tourists wouldn’t say no to such cheap drinks. I’ve heard the food is great too but we’d always go way too full from dinner :(
Definitely check this place out! It’s on the way to Squid Roe, Mandala, Pink Kitty, and all the rest of the clubs/​bars I’m sure you’d want to hit ;)

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this lite gem while exploring downtown Cabo. Free wifi? You’ve got our attention! Wifi itself was very quick.
At our first visit here (we have went back 4 more times), we had the most amazing bartender, Axel. Cool guy who seemed to really be interested in who we were and where we came from.
The margaritas are $ 5, and are not amazing. They had quite a bit of drink specials. They also had beer pong! Restrooms were very clean. The bar had ~6 TVs broadcasting different sports channels.
We stumbled upon the Happy Ending food stand on our way home from the club one night (located right next to the bar). We ordered food to go, which was prepared fresh in less than 15 minutes. The portions were huge and the prices were even better!
Happy Ending will be one of the first stops we make when we return to Cabo!

Emmet the bartender is really nice. Knowledgable on his Tequilas. He has the best hair!

Beer pong is the draw here. Come in. Pay more money then you thought you ever would to play beer pong. Proceed to have an excellent time while defeating your friends or cabo strangers who are your new best friends. Drink Pacifico! It’s the best Mexican beer.

You gotta love a place owned by the Blue! Thanks LAPD for protecting us and providing a chill place for beers in Mexico!

Terrible service. Took forever to order drinks. The place was not busy. After waiting over 20 minutes to pay had to interrupt the bartender from talking to a girl. He was rude and finally took our money. Terrible service. As a local we will never return

One of the best bars on the strip! $ 5 special 2 shots of tequila and bottle of beer! Beer pong tables in the back, lots of seating, good music, good food if you’re hungry. Service was great. We had a great time here! Avoid the overhyped touristy bars down the street and come here!
