Club Centurion American Express

The Amex Platinum Side is terrible! Absolutely nothing is complementary. If you can go elsewhere I advise you to do so. A waste of time!

I was highly disappointed with the «not so new location and facilities» of this club in Mexico City. I used to go here and expect a quiet place to relax, enjoy their complimentary drinks and light food. Now this place feels no different than a being at a regular gate with kids running around, screaming, adults speaking loudly and obnoxiously. The staff is wonderful and they do try their best with what they have to work with. I am highly disappointed in you Club Centurion American Express (Mexico City)

The Centurion lounge is a wonderful escape from the chaos of the Mexico City Airport! When you arrive its a little confusing, as there are two separate entrances, not sure if one card excludes you or includes you in the different lounges, but I think I ended up in the smaller lounge. The biggest bummer of this place is, unlike the wonderful and AMAZING centurion lounges stateside, the food/​booze isnt free. Now, its still super cheap (especially with the strength of the dollar vs the peso) and the menu is designed by Enrique Olvera of Pujol (and Cosme) fame. I ordered a prosciutto baguette and a lovely chardonnay, and my bill was 210 pesos (less than $ 12USD). I also ordered a beer, and it wasnt on the check, so its unclear if the beer is free or the mesero just forgot to add it! The wifi was good and it was a nice place to spend a couple of hours between flights!

This place blows. It is completely odd to arrive at an empty lounge with no food no drinks no nothing. It opens at 5 am which is too late for some state flights. And it takes gold and platinum members to the left side. They do off a limited selection of food based off a menu for a rip off price.
On the contrary, the VIP club is located closer to UA gates. Use your Priority Pass to get in for small snacks and drinks, including a good selection of beers. Much more civilized.

This lounge is a disgrace to Amex Centurion Lounges and I now see why it’s not listed on the official Centurion Lounge website, but am perplexed why they still allow it to operate under the Amex name. If you’ve been to the SF or Vegas lounges you’ll be sorely disappointed in what this Mexico City airport version is serving up, or lack thereof.
The service is friendly, I will give them that, but for a lounge with a reputation built on quality food, a great drink selection and comfort, this place falls waaaaaay short. Granted the drinks are free but the selection is in very small supply. No quality whiskey and only a handful of spirits in general. The food, ain’t free, folks! Well, most of it. I know it sounds kind of bitchy to complain that you have to order and pay for a decent meal at an airport, but when the Amex lounges have conditioned you to enjoy certain luxuries I feel that it’s justified to negatively critique them for not living up to the expectations set by their counterparts.
How bad was it? I left for one of the «lesser» lounges in the airport and had a much better experience.

Top notch and I am confident that this was the best shoe shine I have ever had! Just outstanding!

La cuota anual que pagas en la tarjeta la puedes «desquitar» el día que viajas, teniendo acceso a un menú desarrollado por un chef famoso, asientos cómodos, acceso a wi-​fi de buena velocidad y hasta un salón de belleza. Además, para las que viajamos con niños, en la sala centurión de American Express T1 del AICM hay un saloncito Playmobil.

En lo que toca a premium lounges, este lugar deja mucho qué desear. Primero, la ubicación es horrible. Está en medio de un pasillo largo que no está cerca de muchas puertas, así que por lo general hay que caminar para llegar aquí. Desde que entras el staff tiene actitud de «seguro que tienes por lo menos la AMEX platino??» y comúnmente hay que hacer fila para entrar (seguro que son tan «exclusuvos»?). El lounge es incómodo, muchas sillas y mesas juntas, ruidoso. El servicio es de regular a malón. Por ejemplo, pedí ahora un espresso y un agua mineral después de estar busque y busque a un mesero. El mesero, con actitud no muy buena, me tomó la orden a medias y empezó a caminar cuanto todavía estaba hablando. Quizás esto fue lo que hizo que no me trajera el agua mineral. The place is real good and the food taste okay, for a waiting room could be the place to be

Stayed here during a few layovers and this place is awesome. We had our on private Cabana since we have Platinum Membership. It had comfortable couches, a phone and outlet to recharge all of our devices. From there we ordered food and got complimentary drinks from the bar.
Who says annual fees are a waste? This more than makes up for it in a few visits.
This time we were lucky enough to book Manicures, Pedicures, and Massages. The only downside is that it’s not set up for couples so you have to take turns. Not a deal breakers. We were definitely relaxed for our flight back home :)

Im a big fan of the American Express cards and access to the centurion lounge around the world is a big plus specially if you travel a lot. To get in you need either a Platinum or Centurion charge or business card. From the moment you are greeted and the concierge asks you if you want to schedule a massage or facial at their spa you know you will get pampered. This place has everything from a kids game room to lounge sofas, private Platinum cabanas, private centurion card area, spa, showers, restaurant, and a bar. Traveling is stressfull and Club Centurion takes the edge off. Their menu is quite extensive from regional Mexican dishes to international cuisine. I have to say their food is the best in the whole airport, their tuna tartare is to die for and so is their flank steak. Food prices are not bad and alcohol is free with the platinum or centirion card. The massage therapist they have works magic, she is really smooth and relaxing. Overall i would rate my experience at the Amex lounge as an A+, the service was also A+.

Tengo que aceptar que soy fan de las tarjetas American Express y tener acesso a un lounge como el centiron es un extra bono de ser tarjetabiente de Amex, especialmente si usted viaja mucho. Para poder entrar se requiere tener una tarjeta Platino o Centurion de servicio. Desde el momento en que eres recibido y el conserje te pregunta si deseas programar un masaje o un tratamiento facial en el spa uno ya sabe que va a ser concentido. Este lugar tiene de todo, desde una sala de juegos para niños, cabañas sofás del salón Platinum privadas, área de la tarjeta centurión privada, spa, regaderas, restaurante y bar. Viajar es estresante y el Club Centurion quita un poco de ese estres. Su menú es muy extenso, desde platos mexicanos regionales hasta cocina internacional. Tengo que decir que su comida es la mejor en todo el aeropuerto, la tartara de atún esta deliciosa y también la arrachera. Los precios de la comida no son altos y el alcohol es gratis con la tarjeta de platino o Centurion. La terapeuta de masaje tiene manos magicas. En general, yo le daría mi experiencia en el salón Amex como 5 estrellas y un servicio de 5 estrellas tambien.

Can get noisy unless you are a Centurion holder. They don’t have a menu for free items so you have to ask. Menu is designed by Enrique Olvera (pujol) but food is not up to that standard. Compared to regular airport/​airplane food though the rib-​eye taco ($ 260) is pretty good.

After 20 years of leaving in the US, my dad was denied access to the Centurion Club in Mexico City because he did not have a plane ticket. He has always taken me to the airport and this was never a problem. I understand some people might abuse the number of guests. I suggest you limit the number of guests to 1 or 2 and charge the guests for snacks and drinks as everything else has a cost.
I give it 2 stars because we always consume payable food, give tips –which you cannot include in your credit card, they have to be cash (??) — and we are being kicked out with a Platinum Card and we find this unacceptable.

Área lounge centurion es para algunos miembros de American Express y únicamente que van a realizar un vuelo. Es impresionante la cantidad de cosas que hacen por ti, desde un masaje en el Spa, manicure-​pedicure, corte de cabello, que tal te vendría una boleadita a tus zapatos mientras disfrutas de un delicioso café con galletas de amaranto o con un desayuno más completo como unos huevos etc. Cabe mencionar solo algunos alimentos son de cortesía otros ya tienen costo pero la verdad los de cortesía son mas que suficientes pues quedas mas que satisfecho y si quieres más te proporcionan más. Eso si, todo lo que consumas con costo es solo con pago a tu tarjeta Amex con ningún otro medio de pago.
Las personas que colaboran aquí mis respetos son súper atentas y amables se esmeran muchísimo por atenderte. Adentro también cuentan con centro de negocios por si olvidaste imprimir algo etc. El internet es gratuito y ahí les va lo mas importante para los que tienen niños, cuentan con área de kids club con muchos juegos didácticos y maquinas de Xbox para mantener a los niños súper distraídos y puedas relajarte tranquilamente. Recomiendo mucho pasar por aquí en tu próximo viaje, sera muy placentera la espera.

Sitio cómodo y agradable para esperar si tienes un vuelo. He utilizado este salón algunas veces, ya que procuro llegar al aeropuerto con antelación (el tráfico de la ciudad es tan impredecible que más vale llegar con tiempo).
Hay variedad de servicios, la comida es correcta, el servicio es atento.
Los puntos a mejorar es que el servicio aunque muy amable es muy lento y únicamente puedes pagar con AMEX. Por una parte entiendo que sea la tarjeta de preferencia siendo que la sala es de ellos, pero limitan al cliente a una sola posibilidad.

I got access to this club in Terminal 2 by having Amex card. I could bring my husband in even though he doesn’t have one.
The staff is courteous and you treat you very well.
The prices are not high as I expected they will be.
For instance, salmon entrée was 270 Mexican pesos with wine included in price.
We got an arrachera plate and the meat was absolutely delicious! To be honest, I’ve never had such a tasty arrachera before! The plate was worth this 240 pesos!
Soups and salads are around 120.
They have a full bar and spa.
By the way, Americano coffee or cappuccino on the house!
And you get free access to wifi!
I’ve never been to VIP lounges in airports, so I have nothing to compare this one to, but overall I’m pleased.

This is a very nice club to hang out and relax in if you have a layover. The service is prompt and the food is decent.
Este es una cluba buena que puede sentir y relajese si tiene una escala antes de la viajes. El servicio es rapido y la comida es mas o menos bien.

Seré honesta, no tengo American Express pero mi novio si :) sin importar esto, esta sala es una delicia para esperar tu vuelo.
De entrada sus cortesías son mas que suficientes para calmar tu hambre, café, jugo, pan dulce etc etc, si gustas, también puedes pedir a la carta.
El servicio es muy bueno, todos te atienden como rey, incluso si sólo pedirás cortesías, no es de esos lugares que entre mas consumas mejor te atienden ¡Para nada!

Me parece desangelado, hace o mucho calor o mucho frío, un aire acondicionado suena como camión guajolotero y se mezcla con el ruido de la tele. Como mencionan las otras reseñas, el servicio es lentón pero muy amable, el internet si funciona (infinitum móvil) y la comida es bastante rescatable. Esta pasada visita descubrí que además te puedes bañar. Si tienes menos de una hora para el vuelo, mi recomendación siempre será pasearte por la terminal y disfrutar del Zoo humano.

This club was my savior while on a 5 hour layover at the Mexico City Airport. It’s beautiful looking, spacious, comfortable.. They have free high speed wifi, gorgeous bathrooms with showers. A full spa is available for massages and pedicures. And they have a full bar and restaurant with great tasting food.
The Centurion Club is my oasis in the middle of the airport dessert. And I was able to get my guests in for free with my platinum Amex card. I love Mexico!

Lounge como cualquier otro, nada especial ni fuera de lo común. Sólo entró aquí si tengo por lo menos una hora de espera, menos tiempo es ser kamikaze pues los meseros son un poco lentos, así que normalmente pido algo de comer y la cuenta junto con el platillo.
La tártara de atún es de lo mejor que hay aquí, asegúrate de pedir limones y sal extra para que no esperes por ellos.
Evitando Tumultos:
No se sabe cuando lo encontrarás lleno, excepto vacaciones de diciembre y puentes.

Club Centurión American Express en el aeropuerto es de verdad uno de los lugares más cómodos para esperar a partir a cualquier viaje. Para ingresar debes de ser miembro American Express y al entrar tienes todo tipo de atención personalizada que vuelve el tener esta tarjeta un gran beneficio. Desde un café hasta algo para merendar puedes pedir varias cosas, algunas son gratis y otras si cuestan así que no olvides preguntar para luego no gastar lo que no quieras.
Aquí podemos encontrar todo tipo de sillones cómodos y luego existen unas zonas separadas por si necesitan trabajar. A las personas que viajan por placer les recomiendo buscar alguna revista o pedir que pongan algo interesante en la televisión mientras esperan. Creo que es un lugar que da una experiencia óptima, agradable y diferente, el único detalle es que no se puede entrar comiendo alimentos externos, por lo que tengan cuidado para que no les nieguen el acceso a la sala.
