La Loggia

Stopped in for a late dinner tonight and really enjoyed the experience. The staff and manager were very pleasant and kind. I know that margaritas don’t go with Italian food but wow. they know how to make a nice drink. We had the burrada and prosciutto appetizer. was amazing. Came with some greens and olives and tomatoes. I had the ravioli di mari and I would definitely order that again.

Really welcoming from the get-​go. The hostess was so friendly and gave us choices of tables inside and outside. We chose a table just inside tucked in a small corner room. While the table was a bit small for the food plates and drinks, it was a cozy spot.
We began with a pair of excellent cocktails that were modern twists on Long Island Iced Tea and a Caipirinha. Next came some bread that was solid and a pair of starters– a delicious bruschetta with high quality mozzarella and a very good mixed salad filled with a bigger variety of veggies than one typically gets in this type of salad.
We then ordered a margarita and sangria to have with our pizza– both were quite good. However, the pizza was not so great. While the sauce and the cheese were very good, the crust itself was not so great. It did not hold under the weight of the sauce and was a gooey mess. After the first piece, the pizza started severely buckling under and became very gluten-​like and gooey to the point where it was not appetizing. Once they figure out their recipe for the crust, I would say it would be a very good pizza. Otherwise, try other items at the restaurant. Next time, I want to try their fresh pastas.
Great wait service as well. Was not too thrilled they added a 50 Peso Cubierto for each of us, but I was too tired to question it.

Digan lo que digan, para mi la Loggia es definitivamente un lugar especial en cuanto a la comida. Si, es un poco caro, ya que todos sus ingredientes son importados. La pizza Regina y la Il Dotore son las mejores en la carta. Y pidan los profiteroles de postre, uf!

Las pizzas muy buenas y muy agradable terraza, la atención muy buena. Buena opción para cenar.

Me lo recomendaron como «the place to see and be seen» y probablemente tiene razón.
Personas que son importantes o parecen serlo, gente bien vestida, bronceadospañueloenlabolsazapatocafé, lesbian power como en Sex & the City, todos reunidos bajo un techo decorado con lo que ya empieza a ser el común: «French country».
Al lugar le ayuda mucho que está en pleno Polanco y a espaldas del Teatro Ángela Peralta. Ahora, hablando de la comida, es otro restaurant italiano –con algunos swings en las recetas tradicionales– pero al final un italiano más.
El servicio es atento y los precios más bien altos.
Te recomiendo que si vas en fin de semana, pidas mesa en la terraza, para disfrutar del zoo humano. Si vas entre semana y de chamba, pidas una mesa dentro, ideal para el PR y más privado.

La Loggia es un restaurante italiano muy padre, con muy buen ambiente, servicio medio malo y la comida me pareció bastante regular. Aunque hay pastas, risottos y ensaladas, la especialidad son las pizzas.
Aunque los meseros fueron muy amables el servicio fue muy lento, se daban una vuelta en la mesa cada nunca y no recogieron los platos a tiempo. Eso sí, tienen una muy buena selección de vinos, fueron muy pacientes y muy explicativos a la hora de escoger la botella, sobre todo para alguien como yo que sabe muy poco de vinos. Creo que disfruté mucho más tomarme una copitas que la cena en general. Mucho cuidado al tomar las sugerencias del mesero, siempre pida la carta para que veas cuanto cuesta lo que estas ordenando.
La concurrencia es de todo tipo, mesas de amigos, parejas, pero en general mayores de 25. Acuérdate que tienes que reservar porque siempre está llenísimo.
