Stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a barker for taxis. The food was good and the service was excellent. I think dinner will be even better, but that will have to wait until next time I am in PV.

5 stars for food and service. The ambience is not that great and almost scared me off, but the food was better than many places we went. The only reason why we went in is because the taxi driver said it is a local favorite. It’s definitely worth a visit. The red snapper plate was amazing.

We went here 3 times on our vacation. Great seafood. Great service. Great margaritas! Second margarita is on the house. And our waiter gave us all a third round for free! we love loved this place. My mother in law ordered the tequila shrimp every time. She absolutely loved the sauce. My husband had the mixed skewers. It had giant shrimp and seabass with onions and peppers. Also the plates come with rice and veggies and small salad with that aurora dressing. I had the sea bass fillet in garlic sauce one night. Awesome. And muscles in garlic sauce another night. To die for! Also, if you get the chance, try the sea conch. So good. A little chewy. But great. A must stop little gem in PV.

We have been loyal customers every year for the past 20 years. We watched the guys grow up. Super family. Super fresh seafood. See you in June!

One of the best restaurants we tried in PV. Americans: don’t come here if you’re looking for ambience, that’s not what Cuetos is about. They have amazing seafood here. Just about everything was amazing. I definitely recommend any of the shrimp dishes. Service was great(they ordered cabs for us post-dinner). They have great specials on margaritas. Our waiter even brought us Kahula and milk on ice at the end of our meal, a nice touch. If you’re in PV looking for solid Mexican cuisine, this is your place.

The food was good but the service was kind of slow. The sea bass was very nicely flavored and nice sides. It is a bit of a hole in the wall/dive, but it does have good food!

This is where the locals and gringos in the know eat. Any fish«al mojo de Ajo»(fried in garlic) «bien doradito» (crispy). Try the whole«huachinango»(red snapper). Also«cameron gigante»(giant shrimp) and«cangrejo» (crab) al mojo de ajo so fresh it will melt in your mouth. Don’t fall for the frozen lobster tail. It is not fresh. Excellent food quality and service that bargain rates with today’s exchange. For those of you who have never experienced fresh seafood this is the place !!!

Cuetos was our first local dinning experience on our recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, the lobster and friendly service set the bar high. I ordered the lobster, it came with a veggie medley and small salad. The lobster was seasoned with garlic butter, not too strong, just enough to let the lobster be the lead. The seafood was fresh and tasty. The service was exceptional; friendly and speedy. The restaurant is small, but packs a big punch. I didn’t find any seafood to compare to Cuetos my entire stay, so I hope this review saves you from searching.

Shared the red snapper, my favorite was the garlic butter side, while my husband preferred the red chili pepper seasoning. Delicious and plenty for two. Service was great. Our second visit definitely recommend.

This is a good spot though a little out the way from the centro historico. The staff is friendly and welcoming and they are more than happy to let you use WiFi here. I needed to do that because I had just arrived and needed a way to coordinate with my airbnb host to arrange for my arrival. I was also hungry and the taxi driver said I could kill two birds with one stone here. I ordered a Negra Modelo(the only time I’d have a drink in PV) as well as a chicken fajita. The meal was good as was the salsa/chips. It’s just after going to Pipi’s my standard has risen and I can’t give this place a five(blame its relative isolation too).

Quite possibly the best seafood in PV. A very welcoming atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Definitely a must-go-to restaurant. Our group of 10 people enjoyed every tasty moment.

A friend of mine who lives full time down here now is determined to introduce me to all of his favorite«local» spots. He’s a retired romance language teacher so his Spanish is flawless which is great because we «gringos» blend in better with the locals. It’s nice to be welcome even if you are the only gringos in the place — and you may well be here. It’s buried back in a «neighborhood» by the cemetery East of the hotel zone. Nothing special to look at from the outside — or inside either for that matter. Clean enough but bright florescent lights and all the ambiance of a high school cafeteria. I can deal with that if the food is fabulous but it wasn’t. And, it was expensive. He thinks the seafood soup and the shrimp brochette are life changing. I didn’t. I thought it was OK but pretty darned expensive. Service was pretty slow and the lack of ambiance of any sort was vaguely disturbing. We were surrounded by locals though who seemed to be showing off to their family and friends and I definitely got the impression that the local crowd thought this was a special dining spot. I guess I haven’t acculturated as much as I thought. Wouldn’t take a cab way out there on my own again. Might try it once more if someone else was buying.
