Décor is so white it is painful but the food makes up for the short fall to the point that you forget about the lack of color. Everything they bring to the table is absolutely incredible in flavor. Truly a work of art from the kitchen so you understand why the blank canvas.

Let’s start with the décor. Every wall has a white can with the signature name on it. A dizzying number of white cans on metal shelving. Then two large female photos with milk themes. Get it? After being flogged with ambiance you get the menu. A board which provides a range of foods upon which I can’t comment. Risotto was tasty. Diego Diego had too many bones and bad green beans. A ho hum goody experience.

Had a really delicious raw shrimp with pineapple appetizer here. Prices were incredibly reasonable. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Puerto Vallarta.

If your American and love Mexican food, then do not go here. Place looks like a paint shop. Food is terrible. I would not recommend to anyone. The chairs are all different and uncomfortable. The place has no view and interior design is pretty bland as it is all white. Sorry I am not a fan of the artistic approach of this place. All I want is good food not some ugly food that tasted terrible. The day after I became sick. It must of been the raw meat !

Cute restaurant to have a nicer dinner. The entire restaurant is WHITE. Beautiful ambiance and décor. We came here to celebrate a bachelorette party and got a lot of freebies! Freebies for the bachelorette: 1. Pink fruity shots 2. Two on the house appetizers 3. Free t-shirt The bread comes out in a cute little baggies. Their menu changes daily and can be found on a chalk board next to your table. I tried the filet, duck, and fish. The steak was okay, it was cooked more rare than I wanted it to and a bit salty. The duck was a bit too sweet and the fish a bit over cooked. Food could’ve been better, but the service and drinks were on par. Can’t give them less than 4 stars because they treated our party so well. Final bill came out to be $ 115 after tip. This included 5 entrees and 5 non-alcoholic fruit smoothies. I’d recommend this restaurant if you’re celebrating a special occasion!

Original Date: 7÷2÷2015 My boss recommended La Leche when my friend and I were planning to vacation at Puerto Vallarta. The concierge of our resort made an advance dinner reservation for me and my friend. As we walked in and greeted by the hostess, we were seated at a table for two. I am just WOW about the décor of the restaurant so beautiful. We had two servers Tony & Yesi for our table. Tony wheeled over the menu and described in details of the appetizers and entrée to us. Me(well done) and my friend(medium well) ended up picking the same dish Arra Cheras. Omg my first time ever eating cactus hehe. Of course, we saved room for dessert. I am allergic to peanuts so I tried to stay away from all tree nuts. I picked the most common that I know Crème Brule with Nutella icecream. I told Yesi«mama like» sooooo amazingly yummy yo! Highlight of our night: when the owner/chef walked over to our table and chat with us about our dining experiences. He’s funny hehe and we took two pictures with him =) Overall you have to stop by La Leche when you are in Puerto Vallarta!

Walking in here the atmosphere makes it chill. All white interior, white chairs and table clothes, splashes of black here and there and a simple chalk board as a menu. Seasonal menu likely. Anyway, service was attentive and quiet, and just about everything(except the food) is covered in white. We ordered two starters, the ‘sopa verde’ and the ‘raspado de aguachile’. Both solid. The soup a fish stock base with pureed greens of sorts was creamy and thick, and just plain pretty to look at. The raspado tasted bright — having raw shrimp and avocado and citrus was almost ceviche like in texture but different in flavor profile. Also very good. The chef also sent out an amuse bouche prior, and a palate cleanser after. Both welcome additions. Our mains were the octopus platter with squid in rice, pork shoulder slices, and duck. All solid and delicious pieces that spoke for themselves. Of course my group shared them all. The octopus however was tender and flavorful, and perhaps my favorite of the night. The duck was flavorful and smokey, and veggies quite tender. The pork was solid, and the corn purree was complimentary, smokey and sweet to the pork. The dessert was fantastic. The chocomole and crème brûlée are highly recommended if on the menu. They both pair well with Mexican coffee(coffee and tequila) and work so well at the end of the night. Overall, solid food. The overall feel felt somewhat gimmicky compared to the laid back unpretentious San Francisco food scene but won’t disappoint nonetheless. However, a reservation online was hard to come by, as they did not email a reply promptly. My suggestion is to make a reservation through the hotel concierge to confirm. Otherwise, a solid and recommended place to eat in Puerto Vallarta.

Amazing. Just try it all. Food is great, service(Alex and Ismael) superb, atmosphere — tumblr worthy. It is hip. The osso bucco was my favorite as well as duck starter and the sopa de nada. The chocolate cake with the pop corn ice cream was my favorite dessert. The other dishes, such as the fish — mar mar and the pasta were very good.

This is a review for the La Leche food truck on the street out front. I was walking around Puerto Vallarta on my way from the resort district to Old Town and passed by this place. I’m not one to pass by a food truck so I ordered a steak arrachera burrito(for CHEAP, 80 pesos!) and sat down at one of the thoughtful temporary tables and chairs out front. The open back food truck grill meant that I could smell my meat cooking while I waited. This was a very tasty burrito. Not one of the best things I’ve ever eaten but very good for the price. Free salsas and hot sauces are provided too so you can spice things up a bit. Very fresh and served hot, and a good place for a quick snack. Safe for tourists too, I had zero tummy troubles after chowing down here.

To preface this review I work in the restaurant industry in New York City and I have studied culinary at the CIA. My wife and I are tough critics. We came in early and were first table seated in the restaurant. We were greeted very quickly and found our silverware in white bags on the table which was a little odd but a neat touch in a very white restaurant. First negative was that we were not asked if we would like any water which in NYC this is one of the first questions asked once seated at a table not to mention its easy money so we ended up asking for water about 45 minutes into our meal which came as boxed water which I used to use this brand in NYC at my restaurant. The menu was presented on chalkboards on dollies which my wife and I thought was a very cool touch and it was cooler than doing menu’s traditional style. The menu was in spanish and our server spoke good but not great English but did her best to translate the menu for us. We ended up getting, Sashimi — This was my favorite, it had mango, pickled red onion and coconut which all complimented each other very well. This was a great dish and I highly recommend. My only negative is it could use a bit more seasoning. House Tuna Dish — I forget the name of this but it was chunks of Ahi Tuna which I do love however there is a lot of media fuss about this being on menu’s with it becoming extinct so I am not all for it. Anyway it came marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil with kiwi and spinach and balsamic, it was such weird flavors however they went incredibly well. Again this could have used a bit more seasoning. Oysters and Mushrooms — This was another weird flavors that went so well together, It was comprised of fine herbs, oysters, cream sauce and mushrooms and they all went very well together. Short Rib — Melt in your mouth with potatoes and vegetables. The potatoes and vegetables were not very flavorful and could have been better prepared however the short rib was bone in and amazing. Risotto with Pork shoulder — This was a great dish as well. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was finished with what looked like mozzarella on top of it which did not make much of an impact on the dish, maybe a cheese that could melt into the dish. House Chocolate Dessert — This was not very good. The flourless cake tasted like a fiber one bar from Kellog’s with a mediocre chocolate ganache however the popcorn ice cream was very good and you could tell was made well. We also had lychee martini’s as well as a mango martini where were all very good and decorated beautifully. Overall the food was very good, the service left a little to be desired. Maybe we’re used to NYC fine dining service and we have worked for some of the best restaurants in NYC so we have high standards for service. Since we were the first table in the restaurant we saw a lot of servers standing around talking which is fine but to comment on earlier comment we had no water, we were not cleared properly, glasses left on table, etc and when my wife left for bathroom nobody folded her napkin. This is not the type of service I would expect for a chef who is trying to make a name for himself. We spent about $ 1800 peso’s which is about $ 150 for two people with drinks who left full which by NYC standards is extremely cheap.

We are hard to impress as we eat great food all over the world. That being said, this place was fantastic. I had an amazing sushi appetizer and for dinner mussels that were cooked perfectly. My lichee martini was fabulous. Tiramisu was excellent. Also had an amazing salad with strawberries and goat cheese. Short ribs with potatoes were absolutely delish. We were not fans of the mole brownie that was served with warm milk but in all fairness we don’t like mole sauce so it made sense that this wasn’t our thing. Coconut Martini was excellent. Best meal thus far in Puerto Vallarta by leaps and bounds. I only wish businesses in Puerto Vallarta were reviewed more so I could figure out where we should eat next. Anything less then this experience at La Leche will be a let down. We never go to the same place twice while on vacay but we might be breaking that rule to come here again. **we went back on our last night in town and it was stellar!!! I had the tuna appetizer which was drop dead delish. I could go on and on… It was that good.

We recently dined here. The décor is stark but creative. When semi full, the noise level is annoying. Service was excellent. We had cucumber martini’s that were phenomenal. Our appetizers, a creamy vegetable soup and fresh tuna bites were superb. I had lasagna and I didn’t care for it… more of a Mexican than Italian sauce and it just wasn’t right. My friend had a shrimp and ravioli entrée which was very average. I’d say they miss the mark on Italian dishes. We split an apple tarte for dessert. It was very good! We also had white wine. The little bread bags are cute and trendy. Our bill including tip was $ 112. This is high for Mexico. Too many good restaurants in PV, so I don’t think I’d return.

This was easily our favorite meal of the trip. Save it for the last night of your trip, a meal to remember in PV! The atmosphere is chic — very trendy and it’s all mostly white with some pops of black. Fun interior that wasn’t overly done, still felt inviting while super trendy. Music wasn’t blasting loud, you could easily hear everyone at the table. Everyone loved their meals. Although they change their menu, here were our most memorable dishes: –QMT(quiero mi tuna, «I want my tuna») starter, cubes of ahi tuna with delicious sauce that really complimented the fish — Duck main course — local fish(white fish, i think cabrilla?) main — beet rissotto — looks a bit intense with the color of the beets, but delicious! They were accommodating. Our hotel was releasing baby sea turtles at 6:30(the time of our original reservation) but they let us push back our reservation to 7:30pm to allow us to experience releasing turtles, as long as we finished up by 9pm for the next reservation which we did. HIGHLY reccomend! Re: pricing, it’s definitely more than the prices you’re paying around town, but for the quality of the food. for 2 starters, 3 mains and 3 drinks it was only $ 100USD. you’d easily pay $ 250+ for the same meal in California LA/SF, etc.

Top notch everything! Original concept and décor. Unreal service and absolutely brilliant and inventive plates. If you don’t eat here, you’re missing out on an elevated Mexican dining experience that should change ANY preconceived notions you may have about Mexican cuisine.

My cousin and I tried out this place and we had a great time. We made reservations and told them that we were celebrating a birthday so when we got there they had a celebratory cocktail waiting and it was delicious. We ordered appetizers and many drinks and until the place closed. The whole time the staff was really nice and the chef even said hi and gave us a round of drinks. My cousin got a dessert and a shirt since it was her birthday and we ended up hanging out with some of the staff afterwards.

Menus change every night. We had the beef entrada(appetizer) it’s equivalent to a prosciutto with pesto and cheese on it. The New York slices were not bad, good, but not great. Definitely not worth the money since i am from America and know what real steak tastes like. The sauce was too strong too. My husband’s bondiola de conchi was extremely good! It was a filet pork. Mashed potatoes, veggies and bread were also good. Overall our bill came out to 733 pesos, equivalent to 56USD not including tip. The gourmet food is probably top notch for Mexico but too expensive for the quality. Again still a good one for Mexico though if you want to try it… Their service was great nonetheless and the ambiance is great and very white! Check my tip on refills since they don’t give any and charge you for every additional soda product at 25 pesos each, equivalent to 2USD. Also check out pics and videos to see quality. I’d probably visit again. But make sure it’s in your budget. It’s more expensive then American restaurants for the quality not comparing to.

My chicken was really good, my wife’s shrimp pasta smelled bad. A place this expensive should have no bad meals. I’ve eaten here before and wasn’t impressed. Pass on this place and go downtown to café des artistes or Barcelona’s Tapa’s.
