Great cozy atmosphere. Attentive and friendly service. My food was very good. My friend said it was the best duck a l’orange he had had in many many years. We both thought our desserts were excellent. Great value too. Was less than $ 80USD for two appetizers, two main courses, two desserts, a bottle of wine, a cappuccino, and the tip.

Le Bistro Cousteau has never failed us. We have eaten there maybe four or five times and the food has always been fabulous. A fascinating mixture of cultures and cuisines, dishes are a little French, a little Mexican, a little Spanish, and more. We had the Corn Soup with Huitlacoche, which was delicious, and the Coco Curry Shrimp(regular menu) and an Ahi Tuna Steak with Peppercorn Sauce(from that night’s special menu). We’ve had coconut shrimp at many places and it varies widely in quality but this was among the best. It was served on a bed of chopped apples, bananas and maybe other fruits, in a creamy, spicy sauce, plus vegetables and rice. All in all, a very sweet, but delicious, dish. The tuna steak was very rare and the sauce a perfect counterpart. It’s a shame we were the only patrons there last night, as this restaurant is sort of taken for granted and not on many best-of lists, but it deserves to be.
