Highly recommended. Delicious authentic seafood. Off the main strip, but worth it. Support this place!

On a recent trip to Baja, I joined some foodie friends on an eating adventure. I say adventure because we weren’t sure exactly where this place was, with only a rudimentary hand drawn map to go by. Anyway, we got lost, but then decided to ask Siri and she directed us to the right place! The restaurant is a converted house run by Manuel(Meno) and his daughter Vanessa. They don’t speak much English at all, but with the help of Google translate and some hand gestures, we manage to get our orders in. The food is prepared when the orders come in, so be prepared to wait a little because Manuel cooks everything himself, and he will cook each order(table) before moving on to the next. We start with a few different types of ceviche. There is white clam ceviche served in its shells — a little heavy on the ketchup but otherwise really tasty. There is also another style called campachana — I looked on Google and it says it is typically served with oysters, but since I am allergic, I asked if we could get it without. They are happy to comply! There is also ceviche tostada which my friend loved the most. My favorite was the Fish Special, beautifully Cabrillo fish fillets which are wrapped with cheese and shrimp and cooked till tender. Then it is doused in a delicious mushroom sauce served the best Spanish rice I’ve ever had. And my other favorite was the shrimp aguachile — so tart and refreshing! So delicious! The fish tacos are amazing as well as the Gobernador which is a cheese and shrimp taco. Everything we had was absolutely delicious — there were more items, but too many to name. Four adults and a child and we were stuffed to the max and the total? USD60!

Awesome local sea food, quite a gem! If you are ready to eat like the locals and enjoy a shrimp cocktail, shrimp soup, fish tacos or want to go all the way with a fried(cabrillo) fish, you’ve found the right place to go. It’s a small spot so you have to keep your eyes open and not miss it. I don’t know the exact address but i’ve provided enough information that if you ask a local, you’ll get there. The other great thing is the price, completely affordable.
