Nice Italian restaurant. We ate here several times. This restaurant is associated with the Grand Mayan. The Grand Mayan offers a complimentary shuttle from the hotel to the restaurant. It is situated on a golf course and is nicely decorated. The wait staff is friendly and not overbearing. On Monday’s and Friday’s their brick oven pizza is six dollars. It is delicious. One pizza is plenty for two people. We ordered individual pizzas and could barely eat half. The pizzas took forever to come out, but we weren’t in a hurry… We both had leftovers for later on in the evening. Also, their Cesar salad was really good. It was a deconstructed salad with a parmesan cheese skirt. Their breakfast brunch is decent and they have plenty of options. Our server immediately asked if we wanted something that was not included in the buffet and offered to have the kitchen staff make it. I ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs. I thought that was a nice gesture. It seems that in Mexico, your server will not bring your check until you ask for it. We learned that after sitting around for an eternity after a few meals. The pace of life is different here. If you want a refill, you may have to wave to get the waiters attention. They are happy to accommodate any request that you have.
