This rooftop has such a great view of San Miguel de Allende. You can sit in the sun or sit in a shaded area and there is a lot of space so it is good for large groups. Their cocktails are really good as well as their appetizers. A great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

Insanely gorgeous view from atop the Rosewood Hotel. I could sit up there all day. There’s a lot to like here. Friendly service. Large list of cocktails, wine and beer. Interesting food. The patio tends to fill up with the upscale touristy folks lodged at the hotel(it’s only natural), so if you’re looking for an authentic experience, this probably isn’t it. We had a cool bottle of white wine from Mexico, along with three tapas(duck tacos, octopus a la brava and calamari rings). The duck tacos were by far the star of the show, but all were capably prepared and perfect as a mid-day snack. Prices are what you would expect from a more-upscale place in San Miguel de Allende. Fairly inexpensive by USA standards, but pretty pricey when viewed along with the rest of the town. Still, the view makes paying that small premium worth it.

You will not find a more beautiful location in San Miguel than the tapas bar in this elegant hotel. The staff was friendly and the foods above average. You have a great view of nearly the entire city. If you are in San Miguel, this is a place not to be missed.

Bummed to see sub par reviews of this place because quite honestly, it was one of the highlights of our trip. Set on the roof of the Rosewood Hotel, my mom and I arrived and were warmly welcomed and given several options for a enjoying the sunset. We settled on a great table for 2 and ordered the Guayaba cocktail & guac and chips to nibble on as the sun began to set. The guac was a huge portion that seemed never ending and the chips that accompanied it were actually grilled tortiallas… different. We were able to access their free wifi which was very nice and later enjoyed a latte and the churros with mexican chocolate dipping sauce and rompope ice cream — my mom still hasn’t stopped talking about this dessert, she said it reminded her of her childhood. Every server we encountered was friendly and polished and we felt welcome to sit and enjoy as long as we wanted despite not being guests of the hotel. This spot is truly special… super romantic, and just a great way to end your day in this beautiful city!

We came here twice on our trip because the view and cigars could not be beat. Sadly, the food and drinks were very boring. Our first night we had ceviche, tuna tostadas and braised beef tacos. The food was good but nothing special… especially since we had way better of each of these items an other restaurants during our trip. The drinks(pepino cocktail and mojitos) were just blegh… typical of hotel drinks with a lack of creativity and are wayyyy too watered down. The service was VERYSPOTTY. The only person we got a consistent amount of attention and service from was Angel. He took his time to recommend the right tequilas and all around was more friendly. We know better than to eat at hotels that are labeled as «swanky» and attracts a lot of tourists for the view but we were still pretty let down by the experience as a whole and certainly didn’t understand the 5 star reviews. This hotel and rooftop restaurant bar is definitely geared towards travelers who want to experience just a bit of Mexico without having to get out of their comfort zone.

The first time we went here we had an amazing night with great drinks, a great view and music, and okay food. The hotel must have been doing a marketing photo shoot because there were lots of camera people and lots of chefs around. Service was great and we were pumped to bring friends here when they arrived. Second time around was pathetic. We got relegated to a cold, windy corner regardless of the fact that there were open tables elsewhere. Service was poor and upsetting when we asked for two blankets for the ladies because they were cold. The server said of course, proceeded to bring out a copious amount of blankets, and then offered them to everyone at the tables and ran out by the time he got to our corner. I recommend checking out the view, grab a drink, and then head somewhere else for better food, service, and drinks.

Great ambiance! This is the spot to watch the sun go down while overlooking the Centro. I highly recommend the guacamole and ceviche.

Excellent food and drink with a beautiful rooftop view. We dined with friends and ordered six plates for four of us to share. The pizzas were very good, and the steak tacos were brilliant. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant sits atop a fine hotel. Overall, a strong option for a relaxed meal with friends.

One star for the view that’s it! We’ve been here before so we brought back our friends to share the view didn’t know they would be all kinds of problems. Started with the hostess giving away our table to a different group because the other hostess didn’t know we were waiting. 30 minutes in between drink orders was way too long to wait. Food was good but also 30 minutes in between orders. The thing that really really really got us mad was when my wife ordered a margarita and it was horrible! I told her to send it back and since the service was crappy it took a good 15 minutes before we gave up on the server coming back and went up to the bartender directly with the drink and told him how we were disappointed with it. he said he talk to his manager and we went back to our table. Shortly there after the bartender waitress and manager come to our table with the drink in their hand. They had the audacity to accuse us of pouring old margaritas into that glass and returning it just to try to get a drink comped off our bill! We were so insulted and we told him that in Spanish and we will never be back! I have never ever been treated that way before! If this is how they are going to treat Americans they will not make it in San Miguel!!! They are not the only rooftop bar in town! Overpriced, snobby, downright rude!

Such an amazing view. High on the hill, your view of the colors of the residences and beautiful landscape is like a painting. Second time here just soaking up the view with a Tecate. First time had a number of their special cocktails — were all excellent. Had the pizza, and was good but quite average. Worth a third and fourth visit!

Most beautiful roof top tapas bar. You can watch the sunset or just enjoy the view of the town of San Miguel De Allende. The food was good. The Luna bar is located on top of The Rosewood Resort. One of the most beautiful places to stay in Mexico. I’ll will definitely stay there again. The service is the best

This is a rooftop terrace with extraordinary views. Be sure to come for sunset drinks and tapas. When I inquired about mezcal the waiter brought us three tiny shots in order to taste a variety. My friend had a perfectly made gray goose martini. We were expecting small bites when we ordered our tapas, instead, the portions were quite generous. The guacamole was perfectly balanced and served with baked paperthin chips baked with lime juice and salt. The pizza was plenty for two people and we didn’t even touch the tray of local cheeses — we got them to go to eat on the airplane. The service is very attentive but we did need to hunt down our waiter a time or two. I don’t know, honestly, if this is the difference between US time and Mexican time. Expect to pay for the view and the perks such as Mexican cigars and the fact that the waiters speak perfect English.
