My partner bought his second drum set from here. Since my partner lives in quite far from the CBD, he was corresponding with them primarily by email, and was dealing with a guy called Nathan. They emailed back and forth and Nathan was not only really helpful in providing options regarding colours and types of sets, but also dedicated and always willing to listen. Nathan actually ended up ordering the set directly from the suppliers and when it arrived, my partner even got a 10% discount off it since they had gotten to know eachother, and also because my partner had bought some stuff from there before. Awesome!

According to my partner, the only good thing to come out of Australia is Maton handmade guitars, and as MusicWorks Mega Store on Hobson Street stocks a huge range of this brand of guitars, I often find my partner in there dreaming.
My house is full of three guitars and one ukulele from this shop on Hobson Street. As well as Maton guitar’s, you will also find a large range of other instruments — drum kits, bass guitars, pianos, and stringed instruments.
Guitar accessories that I have bought there include picks, capos, slides and strings. They have a good range of acoustic strings including many gauges of Elixir and Martin.
The staff are helpful and pretty attentive when not immersed in playing or having quiet ecstasies over whatever hardware they are unpacking at the time. You can also send your guitar in for re-​fretting and action adjustment.
They also do all PA equipment that you would need for live gigging. These guys aren’t adverse to doing deals for cash buyers on some stock.
