Bakers Cafe

3.5÷5 stars. Tasty food and inexpensive — $ 10.50 for a big breakfast (2 bacon, 2 eggs, sausage, hash brown, a few mushrooms, a couple tomatos and 2 toast). But not the best décor or atmosphere. Staff look bored and inattentive. It’s hot (needs air con or working fan) and shelves aren’t fully stocked.

Got here at the back-​end of lunchtime, so with the choice of only 2 pies left (bacon & egg and steak & cheese) I went with the s & c, a sausage roll, and an apple crumble…
Gotta say that everything was top notch!!!
Steak & cheeese pie had nice rich gravy, sausage roll was close to one of the tastiest I’ve had. Not the usual floor scrapings variety on offer at other places… And the apple crumble… Yum!!!
Service was excellent, and they’ve got specials on meals that whip other cafes prices like an angry school principal on an insolent child. $ 10.50 for a $ 16.50 Big Breakfast… They look to be teaching someone a mean lesson!!!
Will try and get in earlier next time to see what I missed out on.
First visit made a great impression…
Only fault is no tomato sauce unless dining in. Not a biggie, but I like a bit of sausage roll with my sauce.
