Friendly staff but pretty bad kebab. Vegetables absolutely no taste, the bread/​tortilla was not toasted and therefore not delicious, there was ketchup on the kebab (why?) and the lamb meat was a mince Patty that had absolutely no taste. Also I couldn’t taste any of the hummus that was listed on the menu. No taste, no fun!

Surprisingly large restaurant and bar in downtown Auckland. Great prices, lunch for under $ 15 which is rare in the trendy BritomartCentral.
Salad was fresh served with garlicky humus, pita, Avo lettuce n tomato. Yum
Lots of different options from large burgers, kababs and pizza.

I suppose I am partly to blame for not paying closer attention to what the other reviewers of Char Grill actually keyed in on (e.g. «clean,» «open late,» «free wifi»), but there is no way in hell this is a 4 ½ star spot. Most convenience stores are open late, and are clean, that doesn’t make me want to eat their 8 hour old hot dogs or chicken fries. Char Grill is open late (24 hours), and it is «clean,» however, its food is terrible. Even (drunk) at 5 AM, this would only be a 2 star spot. Auckland has way too much to offer, don’t waste your time here.

Unfortunately there are not many places in Auckland that are open 24 hours, but thankfully Chargrill is. It is clean and they get your food to you fast.
Their pizza — mediocre, or maybe it was the pizza I decided to order. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t mind blowing either.
I’ve had their chicken salad and chicken platter and i thoroughly enjoyed both.
Prices and portions are also pretty good.

We arrived late in Auckland and wanted something to eat, Chargrill was perfect. It is open 24 hours, it is clean, and the food was pretty delicious and very cheap. We got a mixed rice plate (basically hummus, chicken and lamb over rice) and a lamb rice plate.
As it was late on a Friday night, parking took a little bit of time, and there were a few «characters» out on the street (homeless), but nothing you wouldn’t expect in the center of town.

Chargrill it all depends about what you choose. While i am not a big fan of their burgers, surely big, but the steak is so thin that you cannot barely see it. I am a big fan of their pizzas and also their Pita Kebabs which are really nice and filling. If you re there, dont hesiate go for them. They have a range choice of organics drinks as well, which i consider as a plus. On top service today, was perfect, with a very nice smile. To sum up. A good place for hungry bodies

We found the place trough Unilocal and we’re not disappointed! We ordered the Chicken Camembert Cranberry pizza and it was amazing !! Salad was also very good, Full of Yummi stuff. The portions were suitably sized and the price was decent (30 $ for a two people meal). Very nice.

The food is delicious.
The food is cheap.
The place is clean and has a great atmosphere.
The music they play is awesome. Mainly dance.
The service is amazing.
But above all else this place is open 24⁄7 you can’t beat that!
This place deserves your money!

MUaaaaaaaahhh!!! the best wood-​fired pizzas in auckland. my favourite favourite place for a PERFECT cheesey dripppy pizzaaa… even if im hungry at 5 am in the morning these guys welcome me with a big huggggggggg xx. love the place :)

Whilst stumbling home from town one night and craving a cheesburger I discovered this place. If your looking for a decent takeway provider close to the central city that open 24⁄7 then look no further.
Char Grill has it all, burgers, kebabs, pizzs’s and even delicious salads. they also do a pretty rocking trade with their Breakfast menu too, the Big Brekkie meal is really good value.
Be prepared to almost dislocate your jaw trying to wrap your mouth around the gigantic burgers they make here! You’ve got to try the Chicken, Bacon and Avocado burger, if you are an avo lover as I am. Pure fatty heaven! Made with quality ingredients they really don’t skimp on anything here, all prepared with TLC.
