Columbus Coffee

My sports team used to train at the YMCA in Onehunga and would often start our Sunday mornings out with breakfast, coffee and a team meeting at Columbus Coffee around the corner. Columbus Onehunga occupies the old post office building and has proud heritage photos on display outside the café. Inside, my team likes to use the big boardroom off to the side of the main café to utilise the enormous table and shut the doors to talk strategy. This room is perfect for meetings and I absolutely recommend it. The food is good too — the breakfasts are pretty standard café fare, but you can always find something interesting in the cabinet to whet your appetite. The coffee is served supremely quickly, which is always a godsend on a Sunday morning. The only thing I would change about Columbus is how it serves people — there’s only one person taking orders and running breakfast orders to the kitchen, so there can often be a massive line… a massive line that covers up the cabinet!
