Cosh

I hired out the Venue room of this bar for my 19^th birthday party and it was possibly one of the worst nights of my life and I blame Cosh entirely. We placed a bar tab with them so that people at my party could purchase subsidized drinks. The venue room was not closed off at all from the bar itself and I soon realised that people who I had never met before were purchasing discounted drinks with my tab!!! Cosh had made no effort to keep their customers and my guests separate and that was just the beginning. Because of this the tab ran out in an hour when it should have lasted the whole night. I didn’t want to let it phase me to much and I was doing well until the next blow came. The barman came up to me and said he was closing off the venue room because no-​one had purchased a drink for a while… it was only 11pm. They had never told us this could happen when we hired the room WHICH WE PAID FOR!!! So at 11pm all of my guests were thrown out onto the street and we had no where to go, that was the end of the night that I was so looking forward to. I was treated like crap by Cosh bar in fact I have actually never had such bad customer service. In my opinion they robbed me not only of money but of my birthday too. Never come here ever especially if you are thinking of hosting an event here.

A Great bar to start the night off at or party till the early morning on the weekends. Cosh has something happening most days of the week that will make you wanna boogie.
The cocktails here are re known to be a treat– and have flavors that will make your legs jiggle– Cosh Collins and Coshmolitan in particular.
Cosh is a fun, and festive bar, with young and funky staff.
Fridays nights are a hit with live acoustic funk and soul music, so get your jive on it’s the start of the weekend ain’t it.
If you’re feeling like a bite to eat, I hope you like Indian; because that’s the flavor they are serving thanks to Raviz.
Just a great bar, and perfect should you want a venue for an engagement party or 30^th Birthday too.

So many bars, so little time = how I feel about Ponsonby Road. Everywhere is stylish and everyone looks good so it’s tricky to choose where to go unless you have a ‘local’. A groovy (as described by my dad) 2 unit frontage with DJs and Live singers give this particular joint an edge over its direct opposition for me. The barman was generous with his pouring of red wine and engaged in some friendly banter over the cricket with me while topping up my Tiger beer for a second time. The high stools on the pavement outside are slightly precarious on an uneven surface, but great for people watching (and judging). This would get 4 stars anywhere else in Auckland, but the quality on Ponsonby sets a high standard.

Oh Cosh oh Cosh why do thy delicious cocktails bring out the best in me, why oh why do they make me feel things I ain’t never felt before! This place serves some deliciously interesting cocktails, a great place to start the night. The bartender knows how to serve the goodies and is not afraid to serve em up just right.
The last time I went to Cosh I was with my boyfriend and his work mates, about 8 of us. Cosh accommodated us and when the DJ saw that we where in the mood for a good night he stopped playing some slow tunes and gave us some pumping beats.
