The vegetarian options are great! The falafel is not dry at all tastes fresh and perfect little lunch size. And the Aranchini balls are so very tasty again excellent portion size. The ribs are also so tender the meat falls off the bone when you pick it up. Not a fan of the beer but the food is to die for.

I really love this place and have been there for 3 times already. The live band, the beers, everything seems so nice. I was moved when the whole bar singing Piano Man with the band and we greeted to the strangers nearby! I think this place will be rather better when summer comes for you definitely enjoying the nice beer near the beachside!

Relaxed beachside brewery in Browns Bay with a laid back atmosphere. Often busy, so flag down a waiter for service. We shared a vegetarian platter(bread, dips, falafels, vegetable kebabs, haloumi and black turtle bean koftas). The surf and turf platter looked good too. I normally come Monday to Friday for $ 15 or $ 20 lunch options including a glass of wine, that’s hard to pass up.

The reviews for this place has been going downhill lately but when i went on a sunday night with no reservation, everything seems fine… actaully pretty good. We ordered a meat lover paddle, cheese paddle and a beer tasting paddle. The meat lover paddle consisted of ribs, buffalo wings, lamb skewers, beef skewers, bread, and three types of condiments. The ribs and beef skewers were a bit of the sweet side but were still tasty enough for me to gobble it all up(boyfriend though it was too sweet though), the buffalo wings were nice and spicy(also sweet but i’m pretty sure they’re supposed to be, and i liked it), lamb skewers tasted the best on this paddle(actually HE thought the bread was damn good hahaha) Cheese paddle had three types of cheeses(blue, brie or camembert, and a gouda like cheese… i think you can tell i’m not that good with cheeses. haha), various condiments, crackers and the most delicious garlic bread ever!!! I definitely like this paddle better than the meat lover. Just for that garlic bread… so crispy and full of flavour(and a big fat knife stabbed into the middle too hahahah) Beer tasting had 6 different beers but unfortunately i’m not a beer fan so i can’t really judge this. I really like the way they present the tasting though, on a long paddle with large holes drilled into it so the small beer glasses sit inside. There are numbers labelled on the paddle so you can refer to each beer to their beer tasting booklet. Overall, the service was good and food wasn’t bad either. We were actually prepared for the worst that night after reading the Unilocal reviews. I think it really depends on the day and time you go but this time was pretty good. Only negative was some of the meats were marinated too sweet and perhaps the interior will need an update soon. View from the restaurant is beautiful too. I’ve been a few times and would go again too.

The see service was great and the lighting and mood out of the whole restaurant was amazing. Looking at he menu I thought the portion was going to be average, but when they brought out my ribs, boy was I shocked !! I couldn’t even finish the whole thing !! GREATJOBGUYS! The steak that my sister in law had was amazing and the ribs and the lamb was also amazing ! :) the fish was good but my mum found it a bit too sweet! Note: I think the fries shouldn’t all be at the bottom of the ribs cause they get a tad soggy :(no one likes soggy fries ! Overall thank you for an amazing meal !

First time here and probably won’t come back in a hurry. We were a table of 4 adults and 4 kids having lunch. Service was very slow to the point of absent unfortunately. Food was ok… Beer was great but noted only a couple of their beers were available from the menu. Good to see a kids menu however the Kids meals were the size of adult meals. We would of ordered dessert but could get no service after the mains arrived so left to pick up a treat from a nearby bakery…

Been a regular here since they first opened. I used to strongly recommend Deep Creek to everyone & anyone! However as of late(and I am not the only one to comment on this) the quality of service and food has gone down drastically. Portion sizes smaller & the prices have increased! We visited on Valentines Day late afternoon & shared a meat paddle(which we have enjoyed before). Definitely smaller portions of each meat & for $ 34.00 we felt ripped off. On hindsight we should have shared one main sized order of the ribs & would of gotten more food for our money. Although they are trying to offer better table service than most ‘kiwi’ restaurants, they have a lot of new staff that don’t have a clue. On more than one occasion our drinks and/or entrees have been forgotten & we have had to go up to the bar to enquire. Still the location is fantastic right by Browns Bay beach & skatepark & the atmosphere is always lively.

Service can vary from stellar to below par, the food is always good here and the atmosphere is a quiet good time. The ribs. In my opinion are some of the best in Auckland, the only one to compare is an Irish pub in Takapuna. it’s fairly awesome and one of our ‘go to’ locations

Awesome brewery and café in the middle of Browns Bay. This is a fun and social place to go with friends. The beer tasting paddle is highly recommended and the staff are very knowledgeable when talking about each of the beers. Be warned some of them are pretty strong — 6−7% — so be careful about how many you have before driving. I really enjoyed sharing a couple of tasting platters with friends but the rest of the menu looked great as well. I’ve been planning to go back from all you can eat ribs night on Wednesday evenings. Looking forward to visiting again!

Decided to try this restaurant out because I had a voucher(even though it’s a bit out of my way) and oh my goodness am I glad I ventured out of my safe zone. To start with, the place looks great, it has a really rustic feel. All their craft beer is being made right on site, they have a beautiful wooden bar as well as chunky wood tables and seating. My voucher was for one free meal so naturally my boyfriend and I both ordered their ribs because who isn’t going to order ribs if they are on the menu! When they arrived we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces, they were so huge! Seriously massive servings we really could just have shared a plate… but we didn’t. We both just sat there and ate the entirety, they were so so delicious. I also loved their unique approach of serving kumara chips with the meal, it was a nice change to normal fries. I definitely want to return here sometime in the near future!

This is the perfect spot to meet friends and share some brews and eats. The platters are perfect for groups as there are lots of different options and generally there’s something to please everyone… even the annoying picky friend. Last winter I came for a friends birthday and we got a spot right by the fire. It was so wonderful just sipping drinks and nibbling food while enjoying the warmth by the fireplace. I particularly enjoyed the platter with the ribs. And of course all the cheese and breads were delish! Get in early as it’s hard to get a spot here! Definitely worth making a booking.
