Great service– everybody is so friendly!!! The food was on point. I got the nova salmon w bagel and husband got the pesto bacon hash brown extravaganza. Everyone left happy and full. We even came back in the afternoon for espresso and the staff are just delightful. Will probably return before we leave the area again!

Where: Next door to Glengarry and across the road from the BP station in Ponsonby. What is it: A salad house that a vegetarian would be proud of and even some of you meat lovers. Meat is optional but with the different size servings you get, It’s pretty generous so you probably won’t miss that animal called protein. I didn’t! And my favourite vegetable is «lamb!» Eat: You have to try their beetroot and carrot salad. I am now officially an addict. If I could snort that stuff, it would be illegal. Drink: The coffee is excellent and there’s plenty of healthy options. Would of been nice to have some water at the table for those eating in but only a minor critique on a already excellent experience. Recommended: Definitely to those on healthy journey. It’s actually a decent café too. Good for those catch ups and lunch dates. Great value and quality produce.

The vibe of this place is like nothing I have seen around Auckland. It’s super chaotic and noisy during the rush, but has enough space and chill vibes to have your own conversation quietly and or people watch like a madwoman(me) The food options are actually endless. Fresh salads, pies, off the menu brunch, eggs on toasts and other classics and even sweet selections. Obviously there is also the fridge area for the cheese and deli type selection which I’m assuming you can gather to take home? Perfect brunch, lunch and coffee spot. Try the porridge if you are a goldilocks like me cos I love me some porridge. It comes with berry compote, jug of warm milk, honeycomb — you won’t hate it that’s for sure

Dida’s is a great bustling café on Jervois Rd where the salads are amazing, with lots of choices and very reasonably priced($ 6 for a small salad which is enough for a small lunch/brunch). They have Atlas coffee and the baristas are great

A great spot for an early morning coffee, brunch or a little sweet something of an afternoon. Friendly, efficient staff who manage the busy times with ease and comfort. The blackboard menu has changed slightly recently but still includes the favourite staples. The counter food is refreshed continuously and there is a wide selection of beverages on offer. There’s always the opportunity to pick up a wee bottle of something for home at the next-door Glengarrys store.

I love Didas — I discovered it on a soup hunt last winter and love their combinations. The best I’ve tried has to be the cauliflower with burnt butter and sage — it’s delectable, think and tasty and all soups come with delicious chunky sourdough bread slices and butter. I have to say I initially wrote this place off as being like a «Ripe» — overpriced and it has a lot of the same style food but its actually considerably cheaper than Ripe. The salads are not as heavy and are not laden with dressing too.

Busy during the week and packed to the hilt at the weekend, it can be difficult to get a table at times. It is a very pleasant environment in which to relax, Dida’s is a light and airy café and deli. The food selection on the blackboard is concise with the Breakfast Stack(hash brown, bacon, egg, mushroom, spinach) being a hit and one my my favourite breakfasts within walking distance of my home. The menu is perhaps a little more expensive when compared across the city but Dida’s offers competitive pricing with the direct competition on Jervois.
