Consistently great coffee here, with excellent counter food small bites and fuller brunch/lunch menu options. Service focused owners almost always deliver with a smile.

Parking could be difficult at peak hour because it is clear way. Park on side streets such as Kipling Ave or Owens Rd. Lovely staff and coffee. Best in the area.

I can easily agree with Amy M’s review. Espresso Workshop looks really nice with it’s grid of square tables and it’s neat box-kit café feel. Every time you stop at the traffic lights there, it glares at you and reminds you that you haven’t stopped in for coffee yet. Don’t. The counter feels like you’re in a small American diner, without the comfortable stools. Instead, a menu is forced into your hands while the staff impatiently drum their fingers on the cash register. The service window shows noisy chaos in the kitchen that doesn’t inspire much hope in the food. The dishes you see that come out should help you decide just to get a take away coffee, as their obvious focus is on office workers caffeine fixes. Espresso Workshop has none of the professionalism it promises from the street, but expects you to still pay for it.

I had been really keen to try this place out as I drive past it regularly and have always thought it looked cool. I went for brekkie this morning with the boyfriend and we were sadly both disappointed. We were originally going to go for coffee, but when we got there we decided to have some food too. I chose the poached eggs on ciabatta, when it arrived my eggs did not flow everywhere when cut open like you would expect with poached eggs, instead they were overcooked, the ciabatta was so overcooked that I couldn’t even cut it with my knife which made eating it very strenuous. My boyfriend chose their prosciutto bruschetta from their special menu and frankly it was shocking. Bruschetta is supposed to be a delicate balance of acidic flavours from tomato, basil and balsamic vinegar. It arrived and it was some sliced tomatoes with lettuce!!! Topped with cheap tasting prosciutto and some cheese. No sauces or flavourings… just crazy and it was $ 14 really not impressed. Our coffee was nice and beautifully presented so we weren’t dissapointed with that but I won’t be returning here for food that’s for sure.
