Fairly large place that has cookies, pastries, savory pies, lots of sandwiches, coffee, tea, fries and shakes on a BUDGET. All the food is about $ 3-​$ 6…very affordable items. There are chairs and tables as well as comfy chairs. Free WiFi.

Hollywood bakery is a great chain, there are numerous ones spread across Auckland but they are all just the same. With low prices and scrummy food you can’t go wrong with this place.
I highly recommend the potato top pie and the chicken bap — they are my go to’s. Also you absolutely cannot leave and you have not lived until you have tried the apple and feijoa smoothie — it is the best thing ever.
I mean it isn’t the best food in the world but everyone knows standards of bakery food — greasy and delicious.

Hollywood Bakery on K’Road is a necessary evil for both the impoverished and the hungover. Unfortunately, this place can’t even be considered for the «so bad it’s good» kind of food that people crave on a Sunday morning; it is just really bad. Soggy, wet pies, flavourless sweet food and truly, truly terrible coffee, Hollywood is where K’Road food goes to die. I’ve only ever had the unfortunate experience of being dirt poor enough to go there twice and have regretted it twice. This is the kind of place where you go when needs must — I will hopefully never have to go back there again.
