Huffer is one of those stores that I almost don’t feel cool enough to hang out in. Like I don’t have enough streetwear steez or perhaps it’s just aimed a younger/cooler crowd. Anyways the layout of the store is niiiice — boys on one side, girls on the other — and they have some cool stuff. Think oversized dresses, sweaters and tee’s. It’s funny I actually love their guys stuff(espec. their hats) and would totally buy man presents here, I just probably wouldn’t buy anything for myself. Personal style aside, Huffer is a really cool addition to Takapuna and in a good location next to The Commons and Mexico — I hope they absolutely nail it!

Huffer is the shiz niz buziness my good people! If you want some quality homegrown NZ threads in your life, then you need to get down to this choice little shop. Along with Federation, Huffer has long been seen as one of New Zealand’s most reputable clothing brands, and has clothed some bad ass bods in its time. While you will drop more cash here than on say your average jaunt to Glassons or Supre, the clothing is of supreme quality which is always worth paying for in my opinion. Street wear cool, this is strictly a hot little bosses only zone, and it capitalizes on this by its new location in ‘The Commons’ in Takapuna, which has come under some serious renovation work and which is now a seriously competitive little enclave of ‘cool’.

Wowza Huffer! Where did you come from? Huffer has been one of New Zealand’s key brands for a long time, but kind of slipped off the radar awhile ago. I don’t know if they just went through a bad patch or were taking a break, but I don’t really care — I absolutely love their new stuff. This store is also super cool because it’s smack bang right in the middle of Takapuna’s coolest new area — The Commons. The store is very cool and chilled, with wooden crates creating some of the display, and a relaxed vibe throughout. The staff are great. Not pushy or expectant, just there to help you and give some recommendations. The clothes are awesome. They do girls and guys stuff and it’s all of a high quality. The style is sort of like someone who acres about fashion but doesn’t wanna shove it in your face. It’s understated cool, effortless style. It’s comfort and practicality but awesomeness. Can you tell i’m a fan? What i’m also a fan of are the prices. I always hold my breath when looking at New Zealand designers price tags, but Huffer is really reasonable. Just go and look, you’ll find something you like.
