Hubby and I went here to for an early lunch and ‘cos we had a buy-one-meal-get-one-free voucher. So, when I say early lunch I mean 11:30ish, and this is on a Sat. Choices were limited to cabinet food and you could count on one hand the options, I went for the vegie quiche, small but delicious — gourmet cheese inside that melted in the mouth. Hubby went for the chicken pie, also small in size but tasty. Coffee’s were drinkable but not praise-worthy. Dessert was lovely, shared a chocolate caramel brownie, VERY sweet, felt diabetes almost around the corner… We chose to sit outside at the front of the café as the back area, was small and cramped, had a large non-transparent blind pulled down and also gave us a view of there exposed back room with paperwork and junk everywhere, felt like I had gone to a mates house to eat — not the type of cosy-at-home-feel that patrons are after! Customer service was friendly-ish but a bit distant and impersonal. Not that we were expecting hugs or anything, but a little bit more attentive would have been nice, with initiative to help familiarize us with the food, location, seating etc, plus they forgot to include the discount even after we forked over the voucher, thinking maybe we had made the mistake at first, but then double checking the fault and it was from there end. We were in a good mood so not too fussed about it, but all up, not a good first impression.
