Went for a Sunday lunch last week with a couple of friends. The place I feel is over rated and expensive. Staff not friendly at all. Asked for the crabs but they had none. Food was bland, salad pretty basic and quantity little. When I expressed my view to the manager he just shrugged his shoulders. Definitely not going there again.

A relatively quiet Sunday night dinner, place about half full, but the service after being seated was very slow. We couldn’t catch the eye of any wait staff and eventually went to the cashier to ask for some service. They were very apologetic and we got a free bar snack to make up after it.
The food itself, wonderful. Best fish I’ve ever had; Geoduck and Blue Cod.
If you pick a live fish option, the staff will present your choice at the table, noting its billable weight for your approval before cooking it. «Yes, I’d like that killed for my dining pleasure please».
Will definitely go back. I hope their staff will be a little more attentive next time though.

Great spot due to the fact it’s Wynard Quarter. We had a great spot in the sun with a nice breeze off the water. Our waiter was friendly and super efficient. Drinks are quite cheap here, and especially during happy hour. Would totally recommend this place if you’re after a few drinks in the sun. I haven’t tried the food here, but I would imagine it’s pretty good. Lot’s of fresh seafood and great open restaurant. Nice spot in Auckland’s new playground.
