We got takeout from there on the 25th August
We got Dixie Chicken which was basically microwaved chicken with a sauce and some potatoes (which were cold) and slaw. The chicken wasn’t packaged in the box correctly and the whole lot spilled in the bag so we lost ½ of the sauce.
The taste was bad, for $ 70 I would have expected substantially more.
A real shame as Albany needs more good restaurants but this isn’t one.

We dropped in on a Friday evening for a quick dinner, just the two of us. We noticed it was super busy but they seated us quickly and took drinks order straight away. As regulars to many lone stars over the years we know the menu and ordered the garlic loaf, mussels, and Dixie chicken.
Even though they were at capacity, our meals were out in 15 – 20 minutes which was amazing. The food was fresh and delicious as expected at Lone Star.

Atmosphere was good. Food was a little disappointing overall. I had a sirloin steak which had a lot of fat and sinew. It really wasn’t a nice cut of meat. The steaks should be great at a place like Lone Star. Also the menu is fairly small so all dishes should be good.
The dessert was quite nice, although the kids ice creams are tiny and almost come across as mean.
Atmosphere was a 4, service was a 3 and food was a 2 so a 3 is a fair score.
Hope the food improves.
