I had never been to karaōke until it was my friend’s birthday. We decided that we needed a night that didn’t involve too much craziness and wildness. She had the bright idea to go to a karaōke bar to have a night out singing our favorite songs. We decided to go to Luxury Karaōke because the name promised luxury. We went as a group of 20 and we had had a few too many shots before we got there. We started taking pictures then got the party started. A few mic hogs kn the building but I had a blast. My best memory was singing lady marmalade. «Go sister soul sister gotta get that dough sister».

I went to Luxury Karaōke one time. Surprisingly enough, I was almost completely sober. It’s one of those joints that has the private rooms. The rooms are actually pretty nice, the couches are big and comfy and they’ve got a really good selection of songs. You can also buy drinks there. They’re not so cheap so if it’s your thing, I suggest you do some ‘pre-gaming’. The last time I went, some guys were outside and trying to get into our room to hit on my friend Maddy. The walls are thin, it turns out. They can hear you out there. Luxury Karaōke is located downstairs, under the Gucci and Louis Vuitton stores on Queen Street, funnily enough.

It’s Saturday night, really late(or really early, however you look at it), and you’re with a group of friends and you’re really not ready to call it a night, but everything’s closed… where do you go? HERE. Luxury Karaōke! They are open until 2am most nights and 4am on Friday and Saturday nights. The rooms are pretty flash — cool couches and furniture, and a bazillion songs to drunkenly belt out with your friends. You can buy drinks there(no BYO) but the snack choices are not that great, and you can’t bring your own food. Expect to be drinking wine from plastic cups and eating Doritos. All class, baby! Tips: The rooms are not soundproof. So no matter how awesome you think your singing is, anyone in the hall outside your room will be laughing at you :) Also, it’s a bit hard to find, but just tell your taxi driver to take you to the Karaōke bar that is next to the Louis Vuitton store in Queen Street. EPICNIGHTOUT!!!
