Every time I come here it is great! Service amazing, food is good, coffee is best. Well done Mink — keep it up and I will be back on the regular. Recommend French toast and flat white. Yum.

The food and coffee at Mink Café are both quite good. Their menu is also relatively expansive, with a variety of weekly specials to piqué your interest. It does fill up around lunchtime, though, so keep an eye out for that if you’re planning on stopping by during lunchbreak. And like most of the rest of Parnell’s shops, it is a bit on the pricey side.

I’m a fussy long black drinker and the coffee here was fantastic. Even though we only stopped in for a quick coffee and read of the newspaper we were treated well. I can’t comment on the menu as I didn’t eat but they were having a busy trade in lunches and the service was courteous and prompt. Well worth a visit if you can find parking.

Mink to me is more of a café, though like we see in the automobile industry and the large number of crossover vehicles, Mink sort of ventures into crossover territory. Is it a café, restaurant or bar? Mink is trying to capture all the market here and I think they do a pretty good job. Offering a more sophisticated setting, you can come any time of the day and get fantastic food with fantastic service. The staff are really helpful, most accommodating. They do take bookings which is great if you plan on coming with a group and if you have special dietary requirements as I do, you let them know before hand and they will sort something out for you. Being vegan I have tested their patience when it comes to ordering off the menu. They passed. Their pizza is pretty good, they can do a vegan pizza and also risotto and pasta dishes can be made vegetarian and vegan too. The coffee(which is mostly the reason I come here) is very good which is important. Mink is popular for a reason, they do what they do well and people come back for it.

I’ve had lunch at Mink once. I don’t remeber much about it, except that the food was nice, there was wine involved, and it was a nice place to sit and have a catch-up lunch with a friend. I do remember it being a little on the pricey side, however. I’ve also been to Mink for an after-work drink before, the pubbish look of the building and the giant Heineken sign on the roof leading me to beleive it would be a good venue for such an activity. Personally I found the café-style layout didn’t translate well to a bar in the early evening. The layout is too formal and there is definitely a sense of being watched/listened to by the neighbours. I’d go there again for lunch but give it a miss for evening drinks.

I love this place, it’s one of my favourite cafes to visit when we housesit in Parnell. The service is friendly and attentive. The last time we got a margarita pizza to share. It wasn’t cheap but it was one the best pizzas I’ve ever had in Auckland — a rich tomato sauce which must have come from the freshest of tomatoes. The mozzarella was excellent and again it was obviously well sourced local ingreedients. We had a couple of flat whites afterwards which were very good and surprisingly cheap — I think they were less the $ 4 each. That’s a good deal for a coffee in posh Parnell in this day and age. There’s a good relaxed ambience to this café — the seats are well spaced out as this nothing as bad as being jammed up next to complete strangers. A pleasant place for brunch or lunch and one of the best eateries in Parnell.

When you are in Parnell, this is the place to go to meet your friends for brunch! Huge meals and great menu selection. Everything is just a little bit fancy, and perfectly cooked and presented. I love to indulge in iced chocolates, and they quite widely vary between cafes, but this one was pretty spectacular — so much cream and the bonus addition of two chocolate fish! Friendly staff, even though it is always busy. They even provided colouring books and pencils for the kids. Nice touch.
