Moreland’s is a great local fabric shop: it has everything you need whether you’re making a formal outfit or just a work skirt, and more attractively, there’s a lot of very good fabrics in the sub-​$ 10 range. They also have a decent selection of upholstery fabric, again, all very well priced. It’s probably not a drive-​across-​town place, but if you’re slightly West, it’s worth the trip. It’s a big enough place that they’re able to stock a good range.
Finally, the staff here seem knowledgeable and will take the time to make sure you’re getting what you really need. They also sell haberdashery items.
