The restaurant itself is perfectly positioned in the new Brickworks. Great indoor and outdoor seating, both restaurant style, booths and bar leaners, with quite a few outdoor spaces. Aesthetically the space is fresh and modern and plenty of open space. The menu has a good selection of pastas, pizza, appetisers and a burger or two. I’ve eaten there a few times now and have enjoyed: The roasted veg/chicken salad — very nice. The warm lamb salad — again nice although I’ve ordered this twice and the difference between the two were quite evident. The first time — an abundance of lamb and whole plums, the next next to no lamb and plum slivers. A funghi pizza — quite nice when washed down with beer :) A couple of appetisers — breads and brushetta — OK. The service could be better — many times I’ve walked in and stood in front of the concierge desk waiting to be acknowledged while a few staff look to a computer for answers perhaps? A quick cough usually gets their attention and they happily whisk you off to a table and provide you with the menus. Albeit the place is new and the staff aren’t quite up to play with the menu nor the wine list(when asking which pinot gris would be nice for my wife. the answer.a pinot gris? it is a white wine?).but this is clearly not an issue with the young staff but a higher management issue with training about the menu, the drinks like and of course the upselling, cross selling and the like. I have eaten alone, eaten with friends and also eaten with a large group of 20. Meals come out together so the kitchen is good with timing. Overall, its a great meeting place in a nice space with a decent menu but it would be great to be surprised by superior customer service to ensure customers come back again instead of venturing off to try the other restaurants in the new establishment. I’m confident Goode Brothers will continue to improve.

Wife and I had dinner prior to a movie, we ordered salmon and lamb salads respectively and were both disappointed. Frankly the lamb salad was a soggy mess, definitely not recommended. The iced teas we ordered with our mains arrived 20 minutes after the food and only after following up as to their whereabouts. Staff appeared directionless and uninterested, stronger leadership clearly required

I went dinner here with girlfriends & there were some yay’s and nay’s. We had the Fettuccine with bacon, mushroom and chicken, fish and chips, pumpkin and chicken risotto. Yay’s! –Décor:stylish, clean, and comfy. I like the different nooks and levels of spaces created & the open floor space with open kitchen is pretty great. –Desert: yuuuuuum!!! We had the choc brownie, cheesecake and panacotta and it was delicious –quick service Nay’s –definitely overstaffed: I felt like we were being bugged constantly by different people –toilets: a few had no toilet paper and it wasn’t clean. It was 6pm so a long night ahead & it was in substandard condition –my friend called it an overpriced La Porchetta lol Overall, not bad and we would come back for dessert, not really mains

I was pretty excited when Lynn Mall announced that it was opening up all these restaurants and a new movie theater so I had been eagerly anticipating this for awhile when we decided to try out Goode Brothers over the weekend. The restaurant décor is very modern and hip, open views to the bar and kitchen so you could see into it even if you were sitting outside like we were. The menu looked promising with selection of starters, pasta, pizza and mains. I was impressed with the build your own pasta section where you get to choose your pasta and the sauce you want to add to it. If you want to take the hassle out of making a decision, they also offer the«gourmet» pasta menu where its a set pasta/sauce combo. Seeing as this was an Italian themed restaurant, I decided to go with the tradition Margherita pizza while my BFF chose the chicken, bacon, mushroom cream sauce to go with her fettuccine. Both, I would assumed were simple and basic dishes that an «Italian themed» eatery should have in their arsenal. What was delivered was a massive disappointment. My Margherita pizza was made with cherry tomatoes and grated mozzarella(cheddar?) cheese. For $ 19.50, I expected a lot more sauce, some real tomatoes and actual fresh mozzarella cheese. Pretty sure I could get the same quality pizza at Pizza Hut across the parking lot at a fraction of the price. The pasta was decent, however could do with a bit more flavour. The only positive thing about our meal was the side chips we ordered, it was crispy and hot and the aioli was tart. The service wasn’t too bad and the staff were friendly. They seem to be slightly over staffed as there was heaps of staff on hand however that might just be because they are newly opened. The staff seem to be a bit lost at times as they would converge on one section or table but when we want to flag someone down to get a take away box, they all seem to disappear. I would come back here for drinks and maybe dessert but definitely not for their overpriced and uninspiring food.
