I have always known that Sette Bello was there, but never made the effort to try it. I finally decided to go with my partner for her Bday, and found the inside very cosy with a very authentic Italian vibe to it and its cool to watch the pizza maker rolling the doh ect and cooking it in the wood-fire oven right in front of the dinning area. Pizza was very nice and such a breath of fresh air compared to dominoes or hells, the ingredients were very fresh and well prepared and not drenched in oil and cheese. Would highly recommend Sette Bello for a great tasting pizza and a cosy night out.

We were the first of our group to arrive. Whilst waiting could not help hearing that most of the others diners were chatting away in Italian. To me this was a good sign that we had made the choice to come here although it took about an hour to drive here. I had the Porcini, the others had Carne, Calzone Quattro Formaggi, Vespucci, and finally the Veggie. All diners in our agreed how much they enjoyed their pizza. Myself and another had to take the remainder home as we were too full to finish. During our meal there was a constant stream of people collecting their takeaways. I noticed that most people had 5 or 6 pizzas. Most of the customers must have been regulars as the staff seemed familiar with them. The décor and atmosphere was pretty basic, but who cares with lovely pizza and pasta in front of you.

A few nights ago my husband and I ate at Sette Belle for the first time; I would have had it sent out but it was a Tuesday and they only deliver on Thursday’s, Friday’s and Saturday’s. I am glad we went in actually, I liked their patriotic décor, very cool! Even the walls were painted in the stripes of Italy. And I am pretty certain our chef at the wood oven behind the counter was Italian too! So, as you can probably expect, the pizza, a number 15 chicken for us, came out very authentic Italiano style. Usually this pizza would have cost us $ 18.50 but because it was a Tuesday night we got a special of $ 12.99 with one drink. Wonderful price! The one pizza wouldn’t normally be sufficient for our gluttonous bellies, but as a light meal it did just fine. They were a bit heavy handed on the pepper, but overall very tasty and I highly recommend!

If you go to these guy’s website, the jaunty music and the instruction to «Be Italian Tonight» will give you a clue as to what to expect at this place. It’s a little bit kitschy, but these people are proud of their pizza and pasta, and so they should be: it’s all blimmin’ good. Yes, the cheapest pizza here is $ 14.50, but that’s a total bargain for what you get, and honestly, if you think a decent pizza can be made for $ 5(Dominos, I’m looking at you here), you’re deluded as to what decent pizza is. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven, imported from across the seas, and the dough is proper pizza dough: thin and tasty with not a fake cheese stuffed crust in sight. There’s heaps of different varieties on offer, but if you’re truely fussy, they’ll also make one to your own specifications.
