What an absolutely wonderful lady! Bright, onto it, joyfull, honest. Everything you need in someone who does this job! I imagine making wedding dresses can’t be easy for a number of reasons. Besides the actual task at hand of crafting something beautifully to fit like a glove on a bride, there would be bridezillas galore! This designer/​dressmaker works out of her home in a lovely, modest environment. As maid of honour for my sister’s wedding it is obviously my duty to tag along to these fittings and lend a helping hand and an honest opinion. Today this included figuring out how much clevage should be displayed and squatting down on my hands and knees putting the bride’s shoes on.
My first impression here was that it was such a great environment for this type of thing. I felt no stress or strain and Nicola was very easy to talk to. The dress (or what was started of it) looked great and it seemed to be taking shape in exactly the way my sister wanted it to. I guess the real test will be to see the final result! I will come back and update this when the gown is all ready for the exciting day!
