We were in Birkdale for work and decided to try the shore for lunch and it was Outstanding! Coffee spectacular. Food wondrous! Definitely be back.

Gorgeous little spot on the corner with a mix of outside and inside seating options. This places oozes cuteness!
Great selection of cabinet or menu food majority of which is organic. Loads of gluten free or vegetarian options too. Coffee is just what the doctor ordered!

I’ve often been to the Highbury shops but haven’t been down to this end of the area before. There are actually a few nice looking little café’s and businesses of which Ravenshill Café is one.
My partner had been meaning to show me this place for a while as he’s been there quite a few times, its a nice looking little shop front with a hidden wee courtyard out the back, which I love. It’s like a little surprise. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad which was pretty scrummy, lots of anchovies and bacon and most importantly croutons! My partner had the bacon and eggs, which he enjoyed but wished it had been a little larger, and not so stingy on the bacon.
They even had bendy straws in the drinks, I mean hello! How awesome is that. I’m such a kid.

Arrived to a very neat and presentable café, with a few patrons sitting sipping coffee and having breakfast.
Café has a lot of options of where to sit, at the front looking out upon Hinemoa street, or inside a cosy little room, with lots of neat photography of Auckland; if it’s not too cold out the back in a secluded covered courtyard.
The waiter we received was very friendly and efficient, our coffees and hot chocolates arrived within 15 minutes, and after we ordered brekkie which included a big breakfast, nuggets and chips, and two poached eggs with bacon we didn’t have to wait too long either– probably about 25 minutes max.
The food was to a good standard, nothing exceptional or amazing about it; however it did the job for us all.
I might pop in again for a coffee, which was enjoyable.
