Don’t want to be mean and give a 2 star because I come here often for coffee and catchup with a friend, but I also wouldn’t want anyone crossing the bridge thinking I rated it highly. It has a nice position at the end of Green Gables in an open courtyard. If you come on a Saturday morning there’s a small farmers market nearby. I normally don’t venture further than coffee or hot chocolate and maybe a date scone, but today we had something hot with side salad and chutney.

Came here today for lunch with a friend and ordered the toasted muesli with fruit and yogurt. Came out with the fries order– was well presented and was very tasty– lots of good dried ingredients in the crunchy muesli as well as good fresh fruit with just enough yogurt and milk. Recommend the muesli! Fries went down a treat also. Find it in the upper corner of the Greengables shopping centre in Mairangi or the side door along the main road

Solid little café, the ice mocha was good and so was the food we got. Great service as well, the dude working made it that much more enjoyable. Definitely come visit if you’re in hanging at the beach for a day.

I dont want to give away mairangi bay’s hidden gem but this hip café up the back of the green gables deserves to be known. Making knock out coffees and a stack of french toast that cant be missed, its perfect for brunch anyday. This is where the locals hangout so expect a laid back attitude! In the summer time, enjoy the courtyard. They are also super happy to fill up your own coffee cup for you. In fact it was the best response i’ve ever had. So if your getting on the eco vibe and want to stop using those disposable cups, take your own here for compliments and marshmallows. This place is cosy-cool and brings in a complete mix of locals. Go here for a laid back coffee!

I come here often with my family or friends to get together for a breakfast feed. Most of the time I thoroughly enjoy my French toast(my go-to breakfast) and I usually order a smoothie which is pretty tasty. The food in general is nice and there’s some good treasures hidden with the cabinet food like the muffins and slices. All this good stuff said… I have been disappointed here a few times. More than once when a large group of us came together we had issues with orders being forgotten or some dishes coming out way later than others. I also once had the pasta dish and was left really unsatisfied. It was greasy and heavy and not something a pasta lover like me would look forward to. I don’t want to be too negative though because despite the bad, I have had lots of good experiences here. The staff always wear smiles and if nothing else that’s a good thing in itself.
