Excellent quality ingredients. We ordered a big breakfast and eggs bene. Hollandaise was from scratch, they modified our breakfasts and were attentive to out needs. The rear has a small pleasant courtyard. Definitely a great pick for a lazy brunch.

Came here with some friends the week it opened but we were all a bit disappointed because too many other people had come to check it out too and Richmond Larder is tiny. The interiors are quite cute and it reminded me a bit of a country kitchen. Seating was problematic, as the tables immediately inside only seated two and while there is a communal table right down the back, it was full. We ended up sitting outside in a covered in balcony area but on this particular day it was really windy so not the best. We decided to just have coffee and go further up the road for lunch. The coffee was really nice though and the service was nothing short of fantastic. I would like to go back at an obscure time of the day when I could get a good seat.

If you can’t get a table at nearby Ripe, head along to Richmond Larder, a café offering a la carte menu for breakfast and lunch. And besides, who says competition isn’t healthy? It’s a long, light space with floating tables and a covered balcony out back. The views are a delight and best enjoyed with a Supreme flat white and one of the larder’s sandwiches. It seems simplicity and quality ingredients are key, and this is surely evident in their sandwiches: chicken salad, pastrami and gherkin, maasdam, salami and artichoke, and Reubens on rye. I went for maasdam, salami and artichoke and I was suitably impressed — good, fresh bread with quality cheese and salami, and the artichoke bringing it all together into something exceptional.
