IMO one of the better Indian food locales in Auckland. I’ve only ever been to Sangeet as a takeaway customer. Since they were down behind Bronco’s & of course at their current location. The service was & remains friendly & attentive. The food. it’s so good! I’m not an Indian food specialist but I know what I like & I always order it: Butter Chicken w/Rice, a selection of Naan bread & perhaps one or two other items. Four stars from me.

Our first visit here, shame we ended up being the only lunchtime diners. It did seem weird being here on our own. One advantage was that we did not have long to be served. The food was very good and enjoyable, there was not enough left over to fill a small doggie bag. That was a good sign too! We have a good excuse to go back and enjoy the atmosphere one evening, or two …

After a crazy 8 hour shoot. I was dying to eat at a place where they would wuickly get me sumthing to eat so that I don’t stop breathing and shit lol… my friend had seen this place before she quickly turned right and we ran inside looked for a table and ordered some samosas onion chillies and chutneys to go with… I liked the samosas althought the size was a lil small… we ordered two curries… mine was kali mirch paneer it was a bit too hot so guys make sure you let them know that you don’t want it tooo hot… however the guy there was very sweet to bring us yoghurt and mango lassi cos im sure if I blew on the tissue it would catch fire… he didn’t charge us for the sweet treat in all a very good restaurant thank you sangeet for the awesome service and great food!!! ooh and I also tried laccha paratha here for the very first time. loveeed it. the rice here is so aromatic and perfect unlike other indian restaurants. Love it love it! thank you

Recently had a function here, food is excellent and the service is acceptable. They were accommodating with seating and set up needs. BYO was permitted and the menu options were great. We were also permitted to set up sound and lighting to our needs. I would recommend this as a place for dinners, birthdays or any function for less than 80 people.

Sangeet is a long-standing restaurant behind Broncos in Manukau, and apparently it has been serving up curries and poppodoms for the past almost 20 years. Whoa. The reason it’s lasted so long is that it’s just so good, and widely regarded by most to be the best Indian food on this side of town. Again, I do think my mum does the best Indian food on this side of town, but for people who have not had the pleasure of tasting my mums cooking, I think this comes pretty damn close. My sister absolutely loves the Mushroom curry here. She’s a mushroom field. I’d rather dine on their yummy Palak Paneer(cubes of cottage cheese in spiced steam spinach) — my favourite Indian meal. A lot of people praise Sangeet for their service and I can definitely vouch for this, the owner and staff are always lovely and make you feel welcome every time. Highly worth the trip out to Manukau if you live far away.
