Here for early brunch, it get quite busy after 1130. I would say this place has average drink and food? Staffs are friendly enough though. Not sure if I will be back in the near future as there are so many options around!

Came in for brunch with some mates on a couple of groupon vouchers. Great mochas and really accommodating and friendly service. Sat out the back away from the hustle and bustle of the front which was nice. Food was good. Decent portion sizes. We were absolutely stuffed afterwards. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and it was great they paid the same amount of attention to us on a voucher as the customers paying full price.

Stopped in here with my friend today after viewing a couple of open homes in the area. We were on the point of leaving because the place looked so cramped at first glance and we were after someplace quiet to have a chat; but then we discovered the ‘alcove’ at the back, a cute little space that was quieter than the main area. I ordered poached eggs on 5-grain toast, very satisfying, the toast was cut particularly thick and was deliciously toasted, the eggs were just so. My friend ordered some kind of big breakfast type thing, he also seemed to come away happy. I ‘helped’ him with the bacon(when he wasn’t looking), and I have to say it was crispy, salty(which I like), very good. We split a piece of ginger crunch for dessert. I’m a stickler for ginger crunch any day of the week so I’m not the most objective of critics, but to my mind it was pretty good. The base was rich and quite crumbly, just what the doctor ordered. On the whole, an unremarkable but pleasant little café. Too bad about the dimensions of the interior(very long and narrow), but there’s no helping that I suppose, and they’ve done well to open up the rear area where we were sitting.

I’ve been to Savour and Devour a few times and each time has been really different. The first time was awesome. The staff were friendly, the food was great and I had a really good time. the second time was a little different. The staff weren’t as friendly and they stuffed up my order a bit. But overall this is a really good café. That was just one occasion so I wouldn’t judge it solely on that. My favourite thing to order is the chicken salad minus the barley. It’s really healthy and delicious, but can be a little dry so I ask for extra dressing. The Haloumi Salad is AMAZING. But due to my dairy allergy I don’t have it too often. But all your non allergic people should definitely get in there. It’s so good. They also have loads of sweet treats and sell Supreme Coffee beans.

I only had a takeaway salad and a coffee from Savour and Devour so that’s all I can really talk about, but what I did have was pretty good. The place was kind of empty when I walked in, it was a late Saturday afternoon. The menu looked pretty enticing, I probably would’ve stayed for a meal if I wasn’t being hurried along. The cabinet was filled with nice looking sweet treats. My chicken pasta salad did the trick, filled me up, but was pretty garlicky and it was given to me in the weirdest takeout container I’ve ever encountered — basically a rectangular cardboard tray, no lid or anything. They just put it in a bag sitting upwards. Not really very portable friendly. Service was okay, the guy was new so he didn’t know how to give me cash out with my purchase, but he was nice about it and got his supervisor. Something about the interior of that place seems cold and standoffish. I don’t know what it is. My coffee was really good and I got a cake for someone else who said it was delicious so maybe if they just change up the décor it would be a bit more inviting?

When I was younger my mother’s best friend knew the owner of Savour and Devour, so we used to go there for a piece of cake or other sweet treat when we’d been good. It was always super exciting when these trips to Savour and Devour were announced, and though I no longer find cafes to be such mystical, wondrous places I can’t help but feel excited whenever I pass Savour and Devour, even today. Specialising in European café style foods, Savour and Devour offer a delicious breakfast menu of sausages, eggs, bacon, pancakes, mueslis and bagels, a healthy fresh range of salads and sandwiches for lunch as well as great pies, muffins and slices. No matter what you choose, you can’t go wrong at Savour and Devour. Quite a narrow building, there is more seating out the back of the café, however if I’m completely honest — now that I’m old enough to be a bit more critical of cafes and eateries, I have to admit the vibe and atmosphere of Savour and Devour isn’t quite what it used to be. The décor is nothing particularly special, and with many other cafes now in the vicinity, I reckon there are nicer places to stop, eat and enjoy your food. However, that’s not to say their food isn’t still delicious, and Savour and Devour will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the first cafes I remember visiting!

Nothing like free internet when you need to work while you guzzle a coffee with a muffin. Savour and Devour sounds pretty swanky, but the interior is rather average with its cold, metal seats and rickety tables. The food and coffee are far from it though, and will not disappoint any java connoisseur. I find the service pretty touch and go, as they’ve forgotten my coffee before(and it wasn’t busy), but they are always friendly and eager to please everyone. If you are looking for a place for a quick work meeting or just need to snaffle something before your next appointment, Savour and Devour is a good place to go.
