This used to be the go to place in west Lynn but fell out of favour a couple of years ago with change of ownership, Patchy service and inflated prices; meant we stopped going as did most people. So it’s been a while but we thought we’d give it another go. The menu has changed a little but importantly the prices have come down. Where else in auckland has dropped their prices in recent times? Well you know what, it was good! The food was great, tender pasta, yummy desserts, friendly service and well priced for pasta. Pity there weren’t more people to give the place some atmosphere. Come back grey lynners it’s worth considering again!

After my first bad experience at delicious I decided to give it another go. Again totally shocking service, our starters and mains came put at the same time after waiting atleast an hour. Not to mention they were for the wrong table. I give the one star because the food isn’t too bad, but the service lets you down. Sort it out delicious !

Ahhh… I love Delicious. Because it is SO delicious. I feel like such an idiot when I say it, but it’s true. And because of its location, it’s the perfect restaurant for a number of occasions. I’ve been here for birthdays, pre-show dinners, random Thursday date nights — it suits everything. You could totally bring a group of people here and get merry on their Italian reds, or have a romantic candle lit dinner with just the two of you. Delicious is the kind of food you want to eat when you truly love pasta(well, that’s why I go anyway). Because it’s super simple. I ordered the beetroot ravioli and that’s what it was. Huge pieces of ravioli filled with a beetroot mash, drizzled with oil, parmesan and I added a touch of pepper. To me, that is bliss. I love a spag bol as much as anyone, but pasta is such a delicate little dish — you definitely don’t need to add a bucket load of tomato paste to it to make it taste good. And did I mention their desserts? As you walk in to the restaurant, you’ll see a cabinet weighed down by the beautiful looking cakes. Yep, that’s what you’re having for dessert and you will enjoy every mouthful. To be honest, their portions are quite large so you could definitely share a dessert but just have two anyway. Really sweet little restaurant tucked away in Grey Lynn. Always worth a visit.

Delicious — a name that carries such positive connotations was the place I hand picked for my boyfriend and I to enjoy an intimate dinner on a Friday night. After a long week at work, all one needs is a dash of intimacy, excellent company, magnificent food, exquisite wine and that extra oomph to make one’s dinning experience unforgettable. And to my pleasure that is exactly what we got at Delicious! The restaurant is located on Richmond Road, on the out skirts of town giving it that secluded vibe that is neither too far or too close to the hubbub of the city. Upon my arrival I was greeted warmly by a waitress who seated us promptly. The selection on the food and drinks menu was varied, with options that watered my mouth. I had the sausage gnocchi, which tasted very fresh and full of flavour, that was accompanied by a glass of Italian Pinot Grigio. My boyfriend had the Chef special which was Chicken Tortellini and a glass of Pinot Gris. For dessert I enjoyed a creamy Tiramisu and he had the Italian truffle, both desserts left you wanting more. The presentation and taste of both our meals was beautiful, understated and simply delicious. What impressed me the most was the ambiance of the restaurant, it was intimate with dimmed lighting and candles on our table. The room was simply designed with artwork on the walls and beautiful soft Italian music serenading us as we ate our meal. My senses were heightened along with my love for Italian cuisine and I will definitely be returning to Delicious Restaurant.
