This place has a great location, I think they could do so much more with what they’ve got really. I pass here pretty regularly and their is only ever a few customers floating around. I have been in a few times and most recently during the middle of a week day and I seriously think it was at least 10 degrees hotter inside which was concerning for all that food. They offer panini’s for around $ 8.00, hot gourmet pies for approximately $ 3.80 (I have previously tried the curry one, quite tasty) and coffee’s are $ 3.99 regular and $ 4.80 large (rather expensive in my opinion). They specialize in ice cream, smoothies and milkshakes. They have a A standard food hygiene sign on the wall which was assuring to see, especially with all that heat! Outdoor seating available too, and you get an exciting view — traffic on a crazy roundabout in the heart of Avondale!

Scoops and Snacks is a bit of an odd name, but less so when you know they sell ice-​cream as well as sandwiches and coffee here. I was pretty underwhelmed by the one sandwich I purchased from here, but to be honest none of them look very inspiring, and nor do the cakes on offer, which look to be bought in. If I were the owners of this place, I’d just concentrate on making this an ice cream place, because the ice-​cream is pretty great, and as far as I know, in flavours not offered elsewhere; flavours such as saffron and pistachio (YES). There’s also bog standard varieties like chocolate if you’d prefer that. It’s really worth a trip there if you’re an ice-​cream fan.
