This mens clothes shop in Te Atatu Peninsula reminds me of another eyesore of clothes shop — Leo O Malley on the K Road. Both shops look decades out of date and if you are man with any semblance of style, you wouldn’t dream of shopping here. I just don’t get these shops, I mean has it never occured to them to modernise? My dad had a small business in Ireland years ago and he was always dreaming of ways to keep it fresh and appealing. I had a look in this shop recently — the clothes were so bad they should be giving them away. The only possible thing I would find redeeming about this store is that they stock school uniform. I guess if you had children and lived locally, it would make sense to buy the uniform here.

No sign of crimplene suits, safari suits or stubbies at Te Atatu Menswear, although they may have been in stock in one bygone era as this store has been around for 50 years! Today it is a House of Fashion on the Peninsula with owners Malcolm and Wilma putting together a good range of gear for men. It really is a good range of gear and they seriously carry the label brands that are in demand and the styles that are popular today. At the back of the shop is their school uniform section and they also do corporate uniforms which is a welcome service for businesses and schools. I liked the Elvis themed art on the walls, that is the original work of a family member.
