Have eaten here with small and large groups on many occasions and have never been let down. Delicious food, good service, nice ambience. The upstairs area caters well for large groups and the banquet menus are great value and a good way to try lots of dishes. I order takeaways here from time to time, the food is always ready very quickly and the portion size of one dish is sufficient to feed a couple of people.

Very good food reasonable main meals range from $ 17-$ 25. I love pad thai so I was not disappointed. Appetisers are small but very tasty. Was there on a Wednesday evening and the place was packed. Popular place for big groups. Was not disappointed in the food. I did find the service slow as they did not have a lot of staff waiting and our waitress we had to wave down to get more rice. They have an upstairs where you can a function. Very spacious in the main dining area. Definitely come back again with a big group.

I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants and Thai Flame holds its own. The few times I’ve been here it’s been rather quiet, so our wait service was efficient and we never waited too long for our food. I’ve tried their yellow chicken curry which wasn’t pretty tasty, but my favourite was their Three Spiced Chicken which was delicious! I love trying anything that’s a little spicy and this dish had a prefect combination or tangy, spicy and sweet. For $ 2 you can add all-you-can-eat jasmine rice to your meal, which makes any Thai meal even more satisfying. I also recommend their fried rice and Pad Thai noodles(they are both mild), some great, simple and satisfying picks. Get in early to avoid trying to find a carpark in the small parking lot they share with Genghis and others, it fills up very quickly.

If you like food that bursts into flame, but with an eastern flare, this is the restaurant. I had my graduation dinner here, and they have the best tables for groups to sit in a large circle. This makes it really easy to share many plates of delectable food. Watching the petite asian women bring out large flaming dishes is quite a sight to see, and a popular choice amongst those out in East Auckland. The service is always excellent and I’ve never had a nasty dish. The staff all dress as though they are in Thailand, and the décor reflects that traditional flavour well. The parking isn’t so hot, because it can get really busy in this area. Best find one early!

Thai Flame never disappoints. Reliably tasty food, appropriately spicy and friendly efficient service. Large restaurant — so good for groups — and ambient décor. Low lighting, indoor plants and a fountain: it’s pretty nice. The last time I went there for dinner I arrived before it opened but the staff were there and let me in anyway, allowed me to order a drink and came over to the table promptly at official opening time. Can’t argue with that! It’s tucked back from the road a bit, but is just along from Headin’ Home. If you’re heading there from Botany, look for a turn off where the big Target building is, or just after. There’s parking on-site which is handy, but also heaps of nearby parks of closed stores(such as in front of Target or Warehouse Stationery) if it happens to be a busy night in this block.
